It's no exaggeration. They are in borderline cap hell and are already shedding defensive players to stay under the cap. They don't have a first or second round pick next year, which means they will have extremely limited influx of young talent to replace those expensive dudes they can't pay for. If Watson isn't THE guy, then the entire roster has to be blown up and you start from scratch, as it's reaching the point where the window is shutting quick due to age, money, and no draft picks to supplement either.

They've traded Ossweiler, 2 1st rounders, and a 2nd rounder for Watson. They've bet the farm on him. This is essentially Rick Smith's final gambit.

The Texans are not in cap hell. Currently, the are about $30 million under the cap....before rookie signings. They have money to sign Hopkins to a long term deal and sign some Free agents. They also will now have money to sign Clowney next season. Getting rid of Brock did WONDERS for their cap flexibility. Now....they will have a QB under his rookie contract for 5 years.

They felt Bouye wasn't worth more that $12.5 million a year. So they let him go........

  2. Bridgewater's size is questionable, if he is 190 lbs. he better head for Ben & Jerry's or he'll be out for the season after the first snap.

The Texans are said to be full of talent then explain 14 straight losses. No team is full of talent and looses 14 straight. Don't spend any sleepless nights worrying about the Texans competing with the Colts any time soon.

Texans lost 11 games by 7 points or less. NFL record. That stat is very telling. Means they were in most of their games. Talent is there.

  3. JJ Watt: 2011 - 5.5 sacks... 2012 - 19.5 sacks through 15 weeks...

Practice makes you 14 sacks better the next season?

No, experience does. Watt realized he could DOMINATE at the end of last season. You saw it in that playoff game against the Bengals. There is an interview with him about when the "light bulb" came on.

LOL....Texans didn't play a good game but they won. You guys need to read the intentional ground rule. The ball has to make it back to the line of scrimmage. Doesn't matter if he was out of the pocket.

What do you mean the Texans didn't play a good game, the D played phenomenal. Foster had a bajillion rushing yards and AJ dominated. That's what Houston does.

You must haven't seen many Texans games this season. The offense was out of sync most of the game.

  5. If you are a Texans fan this is really not the time to be talking smack. I mean come on......

But, good luck in Indy later. I mean you guys rock there......

Stating a fact. The Colts are not the Patriots. Fact. You will get an ANGRY team.
