  1. Oh you can count on the Dolphins running game to be ineffective. We are stout against the traditional running game as well.   I keep hearing people talk about the improvement of the Dolphins WR core but I don't see where the "much improved" is coming from other than the addition of Mike Wallace who can be inconsistent at times. The rest of the group appears to be the same bunch from last year other than maybe Gibson who I feel we should not have a big issue taking out of the mix.

I do agree it will be a really competitive game though.

I expect the running game to get back on track this week. Not 150+ yards but 60-80 yards will do. "Much improved" ? Its an upgrade from just Bess and Hartline last year so there's definitely an improvement. If anything, you heard how much improved the receiver core as a whole was. If Keller was healthy this could be a pretty good offense. Gibson is the wild card and will most likely get the bulk of receptions so your assumption of taking him out of the mix won't be as easy as you think especially considering Wallace's speed against Vontae and the fact that Hartline had his career game against Toler in Arizona.

  2. You can't compare Little,Bess, and Benjamin to our WR's it's not even close. Our WR's are much faster sub 4.3 and better at getting open. The Browns were also without their best WR in Josh Gordon and Mingo and if both have played i think they would have beat the Dolphins.  Patterson is tied for 1st in INT's  because he was playing against Weedon and the Browns might have the worst WR core in the league. Grimes is good but if he's on Wayne he's gonna give up 7+ catches because he's that good. We also have 2 TE's that will cause problems for the Dolphins secondary. You guys have a good d-line but it won't matter if your CB's can't cover our play makers. With the lack luster performance against the Raiders were gonna be focused even more this week, i don't see us scoring anything less then 27 points.

Hilton and DHB run 4.3's, the rest run 4.4+. If Gordon would have played it would've probably been closer but our defense controlled that game for the most part. Mingo would have had the same effect Jordan did, coming in on 3rd downs so he wouldn't have made that much of a difference. Patterson made good INT's off of missed opportunities, not so much because of Weeden. Not saying that Wayne isn't good, huge UM fan, just acknowledging that Grimes isn't a pushover at all. Is Allen going to play? Someone's cocky huh? I am too. Raiders secondary<<<Dolphins secondary just in case you didn't know. I usually boast after games, I'll keep it cordial now though BUT I still don't see your team putting up 27+.

  3. We barely escaped with a W versus them last year.  Luck passed 30-48 for 433 yards, and was 13 - 19 on third down conversions.  Like we feel about our team, they feel they're much improved over last year.  They will test us, but I feel we can take it if we play disciplined ball, do not turn it over, and cut way back on the penalties (I think we had 11 flags last year!) That narrow escape last year propelled us to our playoff run, and they fell out of the running.  They'll remember and want revenge, for sure. We need to be prepared and focused.

Someone gets it.  I understand you want to predict everything goes right for the team, blowout, etc. but be reasonable. Luck had to have his best game for your team to only win by 3 last year.

  4. 1.T.Y Hilton has to be involved more early and often, his deep threat ability opens up the the entire offense.

    2. Pass rush has to get better. Mathis,Werner have to get pressure on Tannehill and the Dolphins LT Martin isn't good.

    3. O-line doesn't have to play great just good enough for Luck

    4. Attack in the air, the Dolphins CB's faced a Browns team with not much speed at WR. They won't have the same success against our speedy WR's. I'm expecting a huge game from T.Y Hilton and DHB, both should get over 100 yards.

Final Prediction: The Dolphins do have a great d-line and Wake will get a couple sacks but their CB's are suspect. I think Mathis and Werner will put pressure on Tannehill to force 2 INT's and the Colts win 27 - 17.

    Luck 24-34 285 yards 3TD's 1INT

? Little runs a 4.4, Bess runs a 4.5, Benjamin runs a 4.3. Even if Grimes/Patterson are beaten deep Jones and Clemons will be waiting. Patterson vs DHB and Carroll vs Hilton will be interesting nonetheless.

I don't think this is the type of game you'd expect to have that much success through the air, especially if your O-Line is having the troubles that I've heard about. The Dolphins D-Line had 6 sacks against one of the better O-Lines in the Browns.... CB's are suspect? Maybe our slot CB's because there is no establishment there, rookies injured, but Grimes and Patterson (tied for 1st in INTs) as our boundary CB's are good. I also don't see the defense giving up 27 points.

  5. '09? It hasn't been good since we won the Superbowl in 2006. 2007 it was poor, and 2008 onward it has flat out sucked.

For those saying it will take some time for our line to gel, it hasn't gelled in 6 seasons. No reason to think it will when we're clearly lacking talent on it.

    I'm a Dolphins fan...........

  6. Tannehill does have a lot of potential. Yall didn't see a full powered browns team since they lacked Gordon. Also Wallace has to get ball or he might go ape lol.

Gordon definitely would have made a difference but I still think we would have won. The OC needs to get Wallace more involved; a screen, slant, something. Just had him going deep for the most part. The Tannehill-to-Wallace connection will be good by week 4 hopefully.

  7. Gotcha, my bad on the Patterson thing.

However, as for Tannehill, I've been watching a lot of him (every snap). He is immature. He's still looks inexperienced out there. He still makes quite a few mistakes and his reading isn't up to par with what it should be. He makes some great throws out there and there is tons of potential, top 10 potential. However, he needs to get the mental aspect of quarterbacking down because that's very far from perfect.

So yes, I would say immature.

    I can agree with that.

  8. Sorry, I stopped when you said that Dmitri Patterson is an all pro CB. If he's an All pro, then I guess Vontae Davis is the GOAT.

Tannehill has tons of potential, just like Luck, but he's too immature as a QB for them to do much damage this year imo.

They have a better receiver core? I'd take Reggie, TY and DHB any day over the 60 million dollar man, Hartline and Gibson.

Let's see what happens this weekend. It should be a fun matchup to watch, but don't think the Dolphins D is good enough to stop Luck.

Think we was referring the Grimes as an all Pro CB not Patterson.

Immature? I wouldn't exactly use that to describe Tannehill.

    Colts WR>Dolphins WR

I'm not going to be cocky and expect a win, but I expect it to be a tough game. 2013 Dolphins D>2012 Dolphins D also.

  9. I'm afraid this is going to be a very difficult game.  Irsay might not be so happy after this one.  I guess it's from seeing all the other teams over the weekend and how good they look O-line wise and D-line wise, there are some beasts out there.  I don't get how all these other  teams (san fran, GB, seattle, miami, Patriots and hosts more) have such good lines year-after-year when it seems a major struggle for the Colts to put together just an average one (or below avg. in some eyes).  go colts, destroy Miami and the mammal they flew in on.

Miami's D-Line is one of the best in the league, but the O-Line is average right now. We haven't had good OL since 09'  :panic:

  10. I was going to post a gif of Wake absolutely dominating Cleveland's top offensive line with 3 sacks, but the site won't let me do it. Wake > Ware 8 days a week.

Have to agree. Wake's speed off the edge is untouchable. Ware is ahead of Wake because of his tenure in the NFL; Wake has been in the league for five years and Ware nine.

  11. Reallly... Ok Ask Aaron Rodgers... who is .....

I guess that is why WE Play the game..

    right?

    Lets ask.

2010 Aaron Rodgers 18/33 313 yards 1 TD 1 INT and a loss in OT against the Dolphins

2012 20/32 235 3 TDs 1 INT and a loss against the Colts. And the winners are both teams.

Rodgers still had a decent game with 3 TDs and had the game wrapped up before Luck and Co. drove down the field.

  12. Well thats just total yards allowed. Which really doesn't mean much considering teams don't have to travel far to score since we turn the ball over quite a bit. That stat doesn't take TDs and total points allowed, which are far more important stats.

If you watch both teams you would know which one has the better defense.......sad but true..

Took the words right out of my mouth. Doesn't matter where your total D is as points allowed is far more important. A team could have a top total 5 D but could give up the 5th most points. The Lions for example are rated 10th in total D but have given up the 21st most points.
  13. DT's against Pouncey? If 2 on 1 is what you were trying to say, then good luck to you. He's good but not THAT good. :)

Just saw you put Incognito and Jerry after Pouncey lol.. how silly of me.. just read and stopped where it said Pouncey..

No homer, but Pouncey is definitely the best center in the league right now. Ask anyone around and they'll tell you the same. Funny because people said that he was living off of his brother's name while making the making the Pro Bowl last year as a rookie. Now he's better than his brother.
  14. Our DT sucked a** as a 4-3 DT. He's now a NT. Which he is alot better at. He's not gonna get any sacks. Mathis IS scary. Freeney is not injured, I don't know where you got that from.. and Redding is better than ok. A simple search of stats won't tell the whole story. And we didn't shut down CJ. We limited his effectiveness. Meaning most of his runs didn't change the game.

Freeney is not 100% is what I meant to say. Redding is better than ok but not better for a team to lose sleep over. Not denying that your guys aren't good just that the Dolphins have faced better in ALL of their game except for the Jets.
  15. Patriots... what dimension are you playing in... ehhehe..

Hou took you to the woodshed... and you smack Oakland and the Jets around and now it's Patriot time?

You'll get your chance.... first take out the lowly Colts...

I never said anything about "Patriot time"??

I said the Patriots are the only team, historically and recently, that can blow out the Dolphins. Houston took us to the woodshed because of something I've already mentioned, turnovers. The Dolphins turned the ball over 4 consecutive times( 2 tipped passes for INT, bad throw by Tannehill, RB fumble) in Houston's territory which lead to 21 points in 2 MINUTES. The Dolphins were leading 3-0 for most of the half and Houston fans were booing their own team because the Texans couldn't do anything.

  16. Indy's DL will play with Redding, Moala, and Mathis and Freeney.... sorry bro... Indy is as healthy as the have been ALL SEASON .. just for MIAMI.

And exactly who is you OL mauling? Cincy? St Louis? ARIZONA????? The Jets drilled us .. Bad day...

They come back and shut down the hottest RB in the NFL... C Johnson. err Trent R then.... CJ ... hehe,.

Bring your big boy pants Sunday Dolphin Phan... it may not end well.

Supposed to be scared of a DT that has 2 sacks in his CAREER, a DE who has been OK, scary Mathis, and an injured Freeney? Dolphins' O-Line shaking in their boots. You even named better D-Lines than Indianapolis' lmao. Cincy has the best DT in Atkins and decent DEs, St. Louis has Robert Quinn and Chris Long, Arizona has Calais Campbell, Darnell Dockett, and decent OLB with their MLB having 8 sacks. CJ was shut down? 21 carries for 99 yards averaging 4.7 carries isn't what I'd call "shut down". He was hot because he faced the 32nd run defense in the Bills. Richardson didn't even play the enitre game LOL. It may not end well for the Colts.
  17. I keep hearing about turnovers... this is true info...

IF.... IF... Miami gets TO's they will probably win. IF ... they don't Indy may just blow the Phins out of the water.

Tick tock... tick tock.... Game time is getting close....

Which team has Indy blew out of the water this year? Don't even have to look at the schedule to know they haven't beaten a team by 10+. And no disrespect, but Miami only gets blown out by the Patriots(which I'm not too proud to say). IF Miami doesn't get TO's it'll be either a close loss or close win or could be a blowout.
