  1. Whitehurst and Hasselbeck are NOT total strangers so that is along can be an advantage right away! It will possibly bring the Colts a different perspective! Whitehurst will have just a few days or weeks to learn to Colts' offensive schemes under the tutelage of Andrew Luck and Hasselbeck. I look for a pretty smooth transition with Charlie Whitehurst joining the Colts' "family" starting the 12th. So good luck to the Colts and new acquisition Whitehurst in the second half of the NFL season!!

  2. Colts will learn a lot about themselves tonight on the road against an undefeated Panthers team. Andrew Luck has a lot riding on this game, and now that the "secret" about his cracked ribs is out and they are supposedly healed, maybe Indy fans will see the real Luck, the talented Luck we have seen in the recent past. This is the season's half-way mark, so a 4-4 record going into the second half won't be so bad and can propel this team to a great final eight games and a playoff berth! From the coaches to the players, they know a LOT is riding on tonight's game!!

  3. The Colts really need Mike Adams in there and get back to winning ways, no later than this Monday night at a tough and undefeated Carolina team. Trending UPWARD is what this team needs NOW and NOT drop to 3-5. They badly need this one to prove to themselves they can beat teams other than those in their own division. Another bad game from Andrew Luck? Put in Matt Hasselbeck until Luck can figure it out!

  4. Start Matt Hasselbeck, 2-0 with the team. Andrew Luck is having a bad season! Opponents are going to get tougher and Colts, 3-4, have to get back to winning football! Lucas Oil Stadium USED to be a chamber of horrors for opponents, but now the Colts are their own worst enemies! It's pretty unacceptable football for Indy and they know it. Luck said it "bad football". Pagano's worst first 7 games since he became head coach, right? This IS NOT COLT football. They just don't play disciplined football and Luck needs benching!!!

  5. i know that it is early, but the Patriots are blowing away with the AFC. The Colts look weak, unimpressive, and with the organizational rumors it doesn't look like they can make it far in the playoffs unless they go on a 2011 New York Giants Cinderella run. The Steelers? Without Roethlisberger, I don't know. The Ravens aren't so well this year. The Bengals, I don't trust them in January. I think that the Broncos can be the only team to be the AFC alternative to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

The Colts have to play their best game and not have any silly, mental mistakes to kill rallies, such offensive holding.  Colts and Pats alike have to protect their respective QB's and I like the fact that Luck will run with the ball and not hesitate to do so.  If the Colts' offensive line gives Luck throwing time and this game at home, it will be a Colts' win with the noise.  Colts must do something though to keep the crowd noise going!  By the way, all said above applies to the Pats too.  They are NOT unbeatable and it's time for them to lose in Indy!!

  6. The Colts have pretty good running backs, I think, but their offensive line just can't, for years now, open big holes consistently to establish a good running attack. They have Brown, injured, and Carter, and maybe one or two others, but until the line can open up some holes, it's all on the passing game, screens, slants, going long, use the tight end, etc. Maybe a reverse here and there, play smash-mouth style, or something just to get it going on the ground and take pressure off our rookie QB.

  7. Hopefully 6 more wins somewhere for 8-8. Play like today and 4 maybe. Seems to me the team know they played ugly and need to work hard to improve in nearly every phase. Reggie Wayne decided to stay with this team after last year's disaster, but I feel for him after having to watch and be in a game like this. He's sick and tired of it and when shown today on the bench, could almost read his mind!
