If you thought the Browns game was embarrassing, wait until this Sunday. I legitimately think the score will be something to he tune of 36-3 Steelers. I may just listen on the radio so I can just tune it down when it gets ugly enough.

Your grades are too generous. Losing at home to the Browns (decisively) places you in the D to F range.

Everything I have read regarding the opinions of medical professionals on this procedure would indicate a resounding NO. That, coupled with the fire which drives Peyton - he has the heart and will of a true champion. He's not done yet, no way.

I'm liking Justin Blackmon out of Oklahoma State, but I don't think we'll be anywhere near the kind of picks discussed in this thread. We're making a legitimate run at the AFC South, mark my words.

Bold and unlikely, but I like it. Let's go Colts, we're going to surprise a lot of the haters and the naysayers.

The article put a pretty optimistic view on things, which was nice to see. The doc clearly knows what he is saying/doing. Glad to see that this has a high chance of not affecting him anymore in the future
Thank you for the link Superman, it has certainly helped to ease my mind. The thought of never seeing Manning take another snap has been a nightmarish scenario which has been playing through my head these past grim hours.

Does anybody really think favre would actually play second fiddle to Manning???
Not gonna happen, to much ego there.
Pretending Irsay's tweet wasn't a complete joke for a moment, these are my thoughts exactly. I kind of like Favre, but he's league-wide known to be a prima donna. Favre would never be a backup.

I'm glad to be back, I had moved on the "Stampede Blue" in the interim since the old forum closed a couple months ago. However, this Colts community is second-to-none.

This story ("Irsay in Favre's Hometown") was just posted on NFL.com, and is based on a tweet by Jim Irsay which read that he was in Favre's small hometown of Hattiesburg. Whether or not this is pure humour on Irsay's part (most likely) or an actual consideration is up for debate. Either way it's fueling the now concern that we may need a competent QB to fill in if Peyton is not ready in time. There is a general consensus that Painter cannot lead this team to victory.
Your thoughts?

He's been mediocre at best thus far this season. I really hope he starts playing like we all know he can (it's not just the lack of Peyton, he's dropped some very routine passes), and he has not been the same since his injury.
