Joselio Hanson

In Peter King's column today, he mentioned that the Eagles will be looking to shed some players in the secondary. He specifically mentioned that DB Joselio Hanson could be had for a 3rd or 4th rounder. Elsewhere there are rumours that he could be released outright, and that there may be some interest from Baltimore. Seeing as CB is an area of weakness for the Colts, I think he would be an upgrade over Lacey and hopefully the Colts have some interest.

Worth looking at, but not for a 4th rounder, maybe for a 6th rounder or 7th rounder. Eagles may take whatever they can get for him. We got Tryon for a 7th rounder and he was going to be released by the Redskins, maybe we pull another one during pre-season this year.

He did play for the Frankfurt Galaxy, not sure if they utilized a Tampa 2 scheme!! lol

He apparently failed a drug test and was suspended, previously the Eagles seemed interested in him with the signing of a $21 million 5 year contract.

Seems like the Eagles thought he had some potential, he's had some decent play making abilities with an 87 yard fumble recovery for a TD, some INTs. He also was a 2006 world bowl champion apparently for the Frankfurt Galaxy lol!!! He was considered the primary slot corner for the Eagles before there recent acquisitions.

Not sure how he would fit our scheme. He remains somewhat of a mystery..

He's a specialist in the nickel package - I think it would be a good fit.

What does a specialist in the nickel package mean?

It sounds like a guy not good enough to crack the starting line up in what was a pretty weak secondary last year.

my thoughts exactly. I thought Lacey and Tryon would be great Nickel backs, but not as a #2 CB.
