You never know what caused it. Quinn Pitcock quit because of depression. Glen Coffee quit to become a pastor, I believe. As long as they are doing what their passion is and not harming anyone, I don't see the problem

Why did it say

Also this kid said he would be the hardest worker because he has a daughter to feed bunch of crap

Nope he didn't show up to OTAs this week and his agent informed the texans today that he doesn't want to play football anymore at all..they never said exactly why though

He can still feed her. It's not hard to put food on the table working minimum wage. Now the roof over the head part, on the other hand...

What? You mean he doesn't have a college degree that will enable him to get a job starting at $50,000 a year?

I'm stunned...

As stunned as you might be, a lot of your average college graduates have difficulty find jobs. That much isn't a surprise. Some are lucky to find a 30k dollar job out of college. Just the way the economy is at the moment. When company A lays off 30 programmers, and 30 programmers graduate from college, that's 60 programmers all looking for similar jobs. It's a great time to be the manager of a business, as there are loads of applicants sitting there for the taking, so you more or less have your pick.

In any case, 50k is wishful thinking to a lot of graduates.

Yes - I guess I was being optomistic about the $50,000. And being a manager ain't all that great if you are being laid off with the programmers. I went through a pretty nasty layoff situation with my company in 2006 - before the recession - and I'm really glad I was able to survive and not end up jobless. I make pretty good money and it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to replace my income with the way things are right now.

Most people just cannot wrap their head around a player not wanting to play in the NFL anymore. I remember when Pitcock left how much he was attacked and mocked for his depression.

Who knows why he quit. Are you going to bash the guy if he decided that being away from his child so much is not worth the money. He could also just be a quitter. Who knows.

He must of knew that he wasn't going to make the roster so he "quit".

That's weak on his part. He should've tried to make the team. I know if I owned a team & he decides to try out I wouldn't give him the time of day. Each time you quit it gets easier the next time

You can't say for certain. We don't know his situation, so we aren't in a position to judge. What if he had a family emergency and he must stay away from football for a few months? What if he goes through something like what Quinn Pitcock had? As long as the man is doing something he is passionate about and it is something that helps society and doesn't harm anyone, I don't see the problem. In fact, it's better he quits because that will let him do what he is truly passionate about and it will give someone else who really has a passion for football a better chance to make the team
