Did someone tell you we wont keep Mahaffey or Gronkowski? Mahaffey was a great blocker before he went out and was a good pass catcher in college. And by the looks of it, he and gronkowski are the only true FBs on the roster. And mahaffey is better.

I hope Whalen makes the team. And Lefeged.

Without regard for the exact personnel, I think we'll keep a combination of 7 backs and tight ends, not 8. And I think we'll have at least nine or ten offensive linemen. And a combination of 15 or 16 defensive linemen/linebackers, not 17.

I also think, after watching more games, that Rucker might be better suited for safety than corner. He was projected as a bit of a tweener coming into the league, and I think he could be a utility player for us. I wish we had drafted a corner this year, but I also think our corps is better than they looked last season. Can't wait for training camp.

List is good....I am thinking Hickman gets a good look (like Freeman a beast in Canada) We WILL carry1 fullback so Gronk or Mahaffey. Lefeged over King, Newton or Holmes. UFA also may be DB or another FA signing or trade.

I may be the only guy who likes AQ Shipley (believe it or not) I know he is a center......but he is going to make a team and be a Jeff Saturday...someday. (not Sunday)

I also like the UFA pickup Gallipo from USC over Lutrus. Harnish will be practice squad....so maybe another DL (UFA or FA)

yeah but he doesn't have the talent that Fleener has which is why he went undrafted. Rather he knows Luck or not he's fighting an up hill battle. It wont help that probably unlike Fleener the action he'll see the pre-season will probably be with the other three QBs not named Luck.

Doesn't mean that they will make the 53 man cut, they could bring in 20 off of waivers if they wanted.

To answer your question it would be either Ballard or Mahaffey unless one of them beat out Carter in camp.
