If there was ever a time for our defensive line to make a strong statement, this game is it. Latu, Paye, Stewart and Buck should all be able to at least get in Maye's face. New England's offensive line is not good.

Looking at that NE roster it will be embarrassing if they lose this game.

The wildcard will be Maye for sure.

Why? When the rookies around you are bad you’re trying to do your job and theirs. It does make a difference.

Because he was an All Pro/Pro Bowl guard (not sure if he made either last year).  The penalties are sloppy.  I hold Nelson up to a higher standard.  But it's ok, we don't have to agree.

Is Pinter the C this week if Bortolini misses a game? Seems anyone concussed usually misses a game.

That's unfortunate for AR.

I predict  a top 5 pick if we lose to patriots

Right now, the Colts are projected to pick 15th.    We’d have to lose most of the rest of our games to even sniff the top-5.

It’s possible…. A real long shot.  But highly HIGHLY unlikely.

I'm not sure on this game bc we have not had any easy wins all year against any team. And this is an away game in Foxboro. We haven't been able to run and I don't know what Ant is going to look like through the air when Mayo starts pulling out the Bellichick schemes on him. I hope we win, but it's hard to say with this bunch.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Colts turn in yet another disappointing performance resulting in a loss, but come on, it’s vs a lowly Patriots team that is amongst the worst in the league. (Kind of like the Jags.)

Colts win, keeping unrealistic playoff hopes alive.

Turn out the lights, the party’s over if the Colts lose.

Good thing Rainmann is back. Hopefully everything is ok with Smith.

Hard for me to see two rookies starting on the right side; Tucker and Goncalves.  Have to believe Glow is back.

Colts are really short handed at WR. Hopefully AD has a good game. Also glad MPJ seems to be back closer to full strength.

Downs being out sucks, he is a huge game changer. Luckily we are playing the stinky Pats lol.

I would think Glow will be there at RG. I think Goncalves was pretty good at LT. We didn’t hear his name much and his grades were actually really good. Hopefully he can do as well on the right side. Need to win this game and then hopefully Kelly is back and we have a line that have all played together in the past outside of Rainmann. Pats don’t really have a good dline so hopefully things are neutralized. Downs being out is going to hurt.

Well that’s not good

Good thing it’s the Pats who don’t really have a great dline. They do have a couple good secondary players though. If Matt plays as well at RT as he did at LT we should be fine there.

Anyone remember if Glow and Pinter ever started any games together? If they have that should help

2021 Christmas Night miracle game against the Cardinals. I think they played together that night.

I think all the backup Oline played that night. Gosh that was a crazy game.

Is AD going to be our SWR or are they going to play Gould?

I imagine they will also call up someone from the PS

Q was getting bowled over, ran through and around. He was having to hold to compete. Not healthy? Missing his Ryan? Given up on the season? Given up on the Franchise? Got so much bank he would rather be home?

Ready to be traded closer to family?

He isn't earning his pay that is 100%.

Need to look up how much Guaranteed $$$ he has next year.

If he is making a business decision and not giving 100%, you know saving his body, that adds up. He isn't getting it done and it started looking different Last Season.

None of those lol. When you’re surrounded by rookies and also trying to help them this happens. It has happened with Nelson in the past when the Oline has a bunch of super young players on it.

You're underestimating the Pats D. They are not bad. Colts D better show up big.

I think Q was overwhelmed because he had cover for two rookies.

And I don't think any of that has to do with his rookie teammates.

Why?  For a better draft pick?  I think the Colts win and it's going to ruin your day (even though you're a Colts fan)  Doesn't make sense.

It makes perfect sense. There is no playoffs this year. If they fell into the playoffs, they would get manhandled the first weekend. Yes, the better the draft situation the better. I thought everyone did not care about winning. this year is all about the maturation of AR and nothing else. Once again, don't ask too much of your football team.

The last thing I want is to win the rest of the games, draft 14 to 18th and still mis the playoffs. The final result will be the same coaching staff, the same coordinators and The GM given another year or two or three with the same mediocre players waisting yet another decade of football. This franchise is a laughingstock of the league. By the way, the patriots have found their QB already. Patriots28.  Colts 6

Downs can't play in 3 consecutive games without being sidelined. Neither can dulin. None of the centers can start every game. Saturday never missed games. Smith has to miss due to personal problems. Get your butt to work! This has to be the softest team in the league.

What’s the heck you talking about. Cross injured him in camp and he hasn’t missed a game since coming back. Did you drop to think smith might of had a death in the family

Yep. NE has always had a knack for making rookie QBs struggle.

On the flip side, while I really like Maye, he doesn’t seem to have the weapons that other teams have.

Feels like a game they should win, but I don’t feel great about a coin flip in Foxboro. The OL injuries could really make it difficult for the offense too.

    • I hope he can last till the Colts pick.
    • The more I consider it, the more concerned I get.  When I look at the first year statistical comparisons that I posted earlier, Mitchell looks a whole lot more like Phillip Dorsett than he does anyone else.   Mitchell - 13 games | 7 starts | 20 catches on 45 targets (44.4%) | 254 yds | 0 TD's | 19.5 yds/game Downs - 17 games | 9 starts | 68 catches on 98 targets (69.4%) | 771 yds | 2 TD's | 45.4 yds/game Pittman - 13 games | 8 starts | 40 catches on 51 targets (65.6%) | 503 yds | 1 TD | 38.7 yds/game Moncrief - 16 games | 2 starts | 32 catches on 49 targets (65.3%) | 444 yds | 3 TD's | 27.8 yds/game Hilton - 15 games | 1 start | 50 catches on 90 targets (55.6%) | 861 yds | 7 TD's | 57.4 yds/game Dorsett - 11 games | 0 starts | 18 catches on 39 targets (46.2%) | 225 yds | 1 TD | 20.5 yds/game Wayne - 13 games | 9 starts | 27 catches on 49 targets (55.1%) | 345 yds | 0 TD's | 26.5 yds/game
    • As we go through our discussions and observations for Richardson, we've mostly used two quarterbacks as comparison:  Josh Allen (for his early inaccuracy, strong arm, and ability to run) and Cam Newton (for his imposing physicality and strong arm). There's one other quarterback that I feel needs to be in the conversation: Justin Fields Through his career in Chicago, he was a phenomenon running the ball.  He ran for over 1100 yards in 2022!  But he had a lot less success throwing the ball.  So much so that the team finally decided to move on from him after only 3 seasons. I'm not saying "Richardson is exactly like Fields".  But I am saying that the comparison has merit, and bears watching.
    • I implore you to go back and watch the tape from his first 2 seasons. His accuracy was woeful.
    • Nice. I’ve heard people say they think he’s a 1st round caliber corner. I hope he goes to the Senior Bowl.
