Unless Glowinski is ready, we might have two Pinters starting this week - Tucker and the genuine article right next to him.

This game should be flexed to 2006.

It's like the early 90's.  New England and Indy are NFL Siberia once again.

It’s late in the season and we are still in play for PO contention so I expect us to do what we always do…. Completely squander it and play like it’s game 3 of preseason… I have no reason to believe anything different will happen… when we face playoff situation or implications, we always fold.. look at last yr we had a chance to solidify our spot and laid 2 big turds vs Bengals and falcons… then we have an actual win and in game and lose

Year after year after year. I've pretty much given up on the Colts until we get someone new at the top. Who do I think will win the game?? Doesn't matter to me unless I decide to put a little money on this game.

If we can’t run the ball this week it’s going to be  ugly in pass protection. Hopefully Rainmann is back but I am not counting on it. I could see them waiting until after the bye.  Hopefully Glow is ready. They didn’t bring him in to just sit on the PS. They have every intention of playing him.

Bow Tie Young Sheldon GIF by CBS

Reading the posts and trying to make a guess… it hit me!

The game against the post deflate gate, post Brady, post coach mumble mumble, patriots will be…a tie!

We will come from behind with minutes to go and the score will be…

9-9 in overtime.

I could be wrong 🧐

Downs is unlikely to play this week.

I read that. From Ian Rappaport:

Quote

Colts WR Josh Downs, who left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, is considered week-to-week and is a long shot to play on Sunday against the Patriots, the source said. But the belief is he did not suffer a significant injury.

Josh not playing hurts but I think we have enough to beat the Pats. Just can't turn the ball over and beat ourselves. Colts 20-16.

Which is exactly what they will do this team cant help but do that...

Colts are favored, its hard to trust this offense on the road without Downs.

Looks like the last time we won in NE was 2005, it would be nice to take this one

We won there in 2006 as well but close enough. I think the game will be close but we should win.

Seems like there might be a good chance Rainmann plays Sunday.

Wonder what’s going on with Smith. Hopefully everything is ok. Steichen said Pierce will be fine.

Hope nothing serious happening with Smith.

Smith and Nelson are having issues with penalties because the rookies around them.

Nelson's false start and hands to the face should have nothing to do with a rookie.

If Kelly gets back after the bye and they put glow back on at RG that is a colts oline that has all played together outside Rainmann.

I don’t think Pats have much of a dline to worry much about so hopefully they are ok.

We will probably see Mitchell in the slot for Downs.

If there was ever a time for our defensive line to make a strong statement, this game is it. Latu, Paye, Stewart and Buck should all be able to at least get in Maye's face. New England's offensive line is not good.

    • I hope he can last till the Colts pick.
    • The more I consider it, the more concerned I get.  When I look at the first year statistical comparisons that I posted earlier, Mitchell looks a whole lot more like Phillip Dorsett than he does anyone else.   Mitchell - 13 games | 7 starts | 20 catches on 45 targets (44.4%) | 254 yds | 0 TD's | 19.5 yds/game Downs - 17 games | 9 starts | 68 catches on 98 targets (69.4%) | 771 yds | 2 TD's | 45.4 yds/game Pittman - 13 games | 8 starts | 40 catches on 51 targets (65.6%) | 503 yds | 1 TD | 38.7 yds/game Moncrief - 16 games | 2 starts | 32 catches on 49 targets (65.3%) | 444 yds | 3 TD's | 27.8 yds/game Hilton - 15 games | 1 start | 50 catches on 90 targets (55.6%) | 861 yds | 7 TD's | 57.4 yds/game Dorsett - 11 games | 0 starts | 18 catches on 39 targets (46.2%) | 225 yds | 1 TD | 20.5 yds/game Wayne - 13 games | 9 starts | 27 catches on 49 targets (55.1%) | 345 yds | 0 TD's | 26.5 yds/game
    • As we go through our discussions and observations for Richardson, we've mostly used two quarterbacks as comparison:  Josh Allen (for his early inaccuracy, strong arm, and ability to run) and Cam Newton (for his imposing physicality and strong arm). There's one other quarterback that I feel needs to be in the conversation: Justin Fields Through his career in Chicago, he was a phenomenon running the ball.  He ran for over 1100 yards in 2022!  But he had a lot less success throwing the ball.  So much so that the team finally decided to move on from him after only 3 seasons. I'm not saying "Richardson is exactly like Fields".  But I am saying that the comparison has merit, and bears watching.
    • I implore you to go back and watch the tape from his first 2 seasons. His accuracy was woeful.
    • Nice. I’ve heard people say they think he’s a 1st round caliber corner. I hope he goes to the Senior Bowl.
