39% completion percentage by AR and 3.2 yards per carry by JT.

You lose every game you have those numbers.

Box scores are hard to read. Have to really watch the games to understand the results.

So many critical mistakes Ogletree drops a TDs. Dulin beats his man yet is out of bounds.

It was ad winnable of only they got some breaks.

AR had a good game, in spite of low completition percentage. 4 passes and 78 yards were taken away from him due to penalties, add Olegtree's dropped pass, the 40 yard pass, when the widepot stepped out of bounds... He got not much support from the offense.

I wonder why JT is so ineffective lately? Is it the play-calling? Bad scheme? I think coaching staff doesn't exploit his abilities, but just my 2 cents

Really, the most disappointing thing about this game is it seemed the loss was self-inflicted.

With a healthy Oline and competent TEs, this would have been winnable.

Agreed. TE has been badly needed since Clark's exit. The OLine needs better depth. And as far as boneheaded plays and dropped passes, the locker room needs a Kangaroo Court to make these players pay the consequence by their peers.

as expected.. the lions are the better team. gotta stop making so many mistakes, AR under constant pressure, JT was a non factor.. needless to say our O line was horrible, so many flags wth...

AR could have had 350 if no so many penalties. Drop TDs early really hurt. Oline has been horrible but with 3 rookies expected.

With a healthy Raimmann, Kelly, and Fries, the Colts score more than 24 points and win the game.

I am not sur u can say that. I don't think the Lions ever felt threatened. They played methodical football.

Wish the Colts had a dynamic young back like Gibbs.

He can run up the middle and has the speed to beat the defense outside. And he's a good pass catcher so you can leave him in all 3 downs.

JT is pretty much washed at this point. He can only run up the middle and if he runs outside he has no speed to beat anyone and will be tackled for no gain. He's a sub par receiver too.

Without AR, Colts would have zero rushing game today

Be careful mentioning the OL and TE's around here , it will get you canceled. It would be extremely hard for any QB to function behind this offensive talent  right now.

I told people about Dalton Tucker weeks ago and people told me he and Goncalves were playing fine lol.

Thats our GM though. Putting a UDFA at RG as the backup. Then your options at LT were Freeland and Goncalves….

And this TE room is awful. They’re all bad. Ogletree never deserved the hype he got. I think a lot of people here come in and see a guy make 1-2 good plays and rush to put a crown on their head.

I also think Shane is in over his head as a HC. 3rd and short and he tried running Richardson up the tackles in the first half.

GOOD

AR:  This is a moral victory for him.  Despite his stats, AR looked good out there.  Missed a layup by not looking for it, had a couple bad throws, had the fumble, but he looked solid.  Back to back solid performances is a VERY good thing.  Especially when one of them is against a possible SB contender.  AR didn't fail us today, the team did.

Wide Receivers:  My criticisms are loud but the thing about me is my shout outs are just as loud.  MPJ played a heck of a game.  Absolute dog out there.  Wide receivers were very productive today despite the penalties calling back multiple big plays and the OL allowing pressure.

Sacks:  Franklin, Latu, and Buck getting home.  Good to see.

Rigo:  He had a great game!  Despite us not being able to move the ball, he kept the Lions on their side of the field for majority of the game.

MEH

Defense:  They gave up those 2 touchdowns in horrible fashion but in the second half they made adjustments and held the lions to one score.  Would like to see a more complete effort but this actually ended up being a solid game by them.  They kept the game winnable and if we could've put it together on offense, we might've won this one.

BAD

Shane:  We started off SOOOOO good.  Offense was moving the ball.  Great playcalling.  And then the second half happened.  ZERO touches for JT.  Head scratching playcalls.  I'm done with Shane calling plays.  People are going to say the run wasn't working, which is correct, but you have to keep the defense honest.  And if the run is not working one way, try another way.  Too many runs up the guts.  Even with a healthy OL, I rarely ever see us run any sweeps or tosses.  Just straight zones and dives.  Frank Reich 2.0

Tight Ends:  WEAKEST POSITION GROUP!  Week in and week out they have underperformed.  This is really the bane of our offense talent wise.  No middle game if it isn't Josh Downs or MPJ catching it.  Dropped TD pass by Ogletree, Not turning around by Granson, and penalties.

Ballard:  Look at that OL depth that touts so much.  He drafted some rookies, and did nothing else.  Could've signed some vets to sure up the youth but nope, just ran it back with the same backups we had last year.  The tight end group, see above.  I do not trust him to build a team around AR.

OL:  IDK how much I can get on the OL because we have 3 rookies playing.  But they played bad today.  AR was pressured on 64% of his throws by the end of the first half and I'm pretty sure it was high in the second as well.  Run game was non-existent.

Penalites:  There were maybe 1 or 2 penalties I disagreed with.  The rest, all us.  Felt l like every drive we committed a penalty.

Final Note:  I'm just happy to see AR put together another solid performance.  It gives me hope for the rest of the season.  We played probably the best team in the NFL and we kept it reasonable.  Vilma said it best, it felt like we were getting beat up but we weren't.  We just couldn't play a complete game.  When the offense was rolling, the defense wasn't there.  When the defense was rolling, the offense wasn't there.  For the remainder of this season, the OL HAS to get healthy.  I know it's late in the season but there has to be a TE sitting on his couch that's better than what we have.  Also, I am done with Shane as a playcaller.  Today, this team failed AR.  But, I have hope and I'm happy for now it seems like we've found an answer at QB.

Did you watch the game ? That 39% is not indicative of what actually happened. Stats doesn’t tell the full story this time

Priority number one this offseason is acquiring a TE who can contribute immediately.

Latu is a good player but imagine if Ballard trades up 2 spots for Bowers

That should literally be a young QBs best friend and our collection of TE's are absolute garbage.

Bradley needs to to go, playing soft on passing downs on the other team . Doesn’t know when to blitz especially on 1st and third downs.

To be honest Bradley didn’t call a bad game , he isn’t the one out there missing tackle after tackle that’s on the players. The players in position to make plays but are not doing so

I knew it was  going to be a bad OL day when both the TEs got beat badly by the Lions DE. Mo was flat on his back and Ogletree did no better. wiped away a great pass by AR.

Granson should be benched next week and Mallory should play.

Granson will definitely go down as a flat out terrible pick unfortunately.

Not sure about that.  The offensive PI was a clear pick play.  Nelson tore off the guys helmet.  etc.

Don't try to argue with rest in pease. That poster is a huge Richardson homer. If he stole her car she would blame someone else.

Granted he didn't have a great game but these last 2 games have made me feel a lot better about AR being our future QB.

1. Our TEs are so bad. It’s a disservice to a young QB to run our TEs out there.

2. I don’t know enough about calling games to question Shane but I’m going to question Shane. We march down the field on the first drive using a jet sweep, a sweep option to JT, a designed QB draw. The rest of the game, very little creativity. Once the script was used, Shane seemed out of answers. The Lions — that’s a creative offense.

3. Are we too dumb to use screens? Other teams kill us w screens.

4. Penalties.

Granson should not be playing imo l. if we are holding players accountable he always falling , slipping 2-3 times AR tried to hit him on hot read while being blitzed and he not looking ball right thru hands etc… like u see players blitzing and they don’t expect the ball hot

Rumors are he was willing to give up a lot. Teams weren’t trading. Plus raiders already had a good TE. I imagine he didn’t even think they would take him.

Likely, yes … but that would probably have been the only pass to him all game. lol
