Most of the teams who make the playoffs aren’t good enough to win the Super Bowl.  We all should know that.  But on any given Sunday anything can happen.  And that’s what excites the players and fans.  The thrill of the game.

I disagree.  I'd say a minority of the teams that make the play offs won't win the Superbowl, and a majority of the teams have a chance.

We were never beating the Lions, but I could've lived with a competitive 24-17 loss (converting those short FGs into TD drives and kicking at FG with nearly 5 minutes left).  I've resigned myself to the fact that we're going 9-8, including a loss at Denver.  That game at Houston stings even more now.  Win that and both the Colts & the Texans are 6-6.  The division would still be in play because Hou still has to face the Chiefs and the Ravens.

Even if we finish at 9-8, the record is fool's gold and changes still need to be made off-season.  I just hope AR's play improves come January - it will make sitting at home for the playoffs easier to swallow.

Looks like Texans and colts are going to end up with same record as last year.

The team is too inconsistent and isn’t mentally tough to win 5 in a row. Who knows if they are mathematically elimated last couple games the team might phone it in. Maybe even bench AR so he doesn’t get hurt.

I bet we win 3 out of the next 2. So an 8-9 end to the season.

Colts will basically be eliminated if they lose to Denver after the bye week. Especially if Denver beats the browns. They can’t lose this week or the Denver game or they are done. It would be really sad to have 3 games left and nothing to play for. At that point guys don’t play as hard.

It gives the edge to Indy here because the Texans could lose to MIA, KC, BALT. Even if the Colts pull a rabbit out of their hat I doubt they will be alive after game one.

If we make it and are not alive after game one so be it.  At least we made it to the playoffs.  That’s something you celebrate in my book.

No, 13/14 (almost all) of the teams that make the play offs won't win the Superbowl.

LOL.  Yeah...I was up late.   I think I meant to say a minority of the teams won't have a chance, and that there are more teams than not that have a chance.  I think.   I don't remember the original post.  I may be completely wrong.  I don't have the will nor desire to look it up.  I know my point was if the Colts make it, we are probably one and done.  I just don't think we have a Superbowl roster and leadership to go far right  now.

My brother says the colts have a chance of going 5-0 OR 4-1 with the remaining soft schedule and have tiebreaker on steelers, dolphins, and Broncos IF we beat them which makes that game important. I said we also have it on the Jets Jets Jets!!! haha

I think Colts more likely finish 9-8/8-9 and miss out of that 7th seed last wild card......but it could happen and that would be good for this organization.

I've been saying 9-8 at this point.  However, in the unlikely event that we run the table and go 10-7, then I'll go out on a limb and say that the Texans finish 9-8.  During the past couple seasons, the previous year's division winner slumped at the end while another unlikely division team got hot, the AFC South's version of musical chairs.

2022 - Jags got hot and took the division from the slumping Titans, the 2021 division champ.

2023 - Texans got hot and took the division from the slumping Jags, the 2022 division champ.

2024 pipe dream - Colts get hot and take the division from the slumping Texans, the 2023 division champ.

Oh...and of course...Happy Thanksgiving!

The injury reports for colts are not good this week. Pierce, Downs, and Dulin have not practiced. We don’t know what the Oline will look like. Rainmann looks to be back though. This game against pats is setting up to be a disaster.

Drake Maye is coming into his own.

Ravens have Texans and Steelers left and are only two games behind colts. If colts beat Denver ravens could be in that mix to miss the playoffs

Chargers were a pick 6 away from losing today they also have a tough games to close out the season.

They have the Chiefs next Sunday night, KC wins the AFC West with a victory.

That game doesn't matter. Colts need to win beat the Broncos then root for the Chargers and hate to say the Chiefs. I don't see the Browns wining tomorrow.

If Denver loses tomorrow night and colts beat broncos I think they will make the playoffs. Even if broncos don’t lose tomorrow night  I think they still have a chance if they win against them. It will all come down to bengals and can they get it together and beat broncos at home and where  is the playoff race for chiefs and bills in thr last week

I would have to look at the schedule for broncos colts but I wonder if that game could be flexed to prime time. It’s 425

It would be great if the Browns won but I am not counting on it. Broncos still play at Chargers and KC, KC will probably have to win that game to get HFA. If we beat Denver and run this thing, we got it, we got it.
