Don’t be surprised if they flexed the broncos game to late afternoon or Sunday night

They have Seahawks/Packers on SNF so I think that is staying.  Our game against the Giants is one of the 5 games picked for a possible flex to Saturday, like they did with the game in 2021 when we finally beat the Pats on that long JT TD run.  If AR plays well down the stretch and we're in the WC hunt, I could see the Giants game moving to Saturday to expose AR to a national audience.

3 best QB's in this draft coming out were easily Daniels, Nix, and Penix. I never liked Caleb, or McCarthy. Maye looks ok but not sold on him either. I can't wait to see Penix get his chance. He is learning from the Captain and I can see him being like Jordan Love in a couple years.

Caleb may just be bad coaching.

McCarthy is too early to tell because he was injured all this season.

Agree with what you say on the others.

There's talk Nix could get ROY as he is coming along very nicely for the Broncos.

The AR vs Nix matchup will be very interesting

With Caleb, like with all QB's, I give it my 35-start rule. If he isn't good in year 3 or after 35 starts, there will be a problem. A lot of QB's have a bad rookie season, even Peyton did.

I wonder how many seasons it will take for AR to get to 35 starts?  (things that make you go hmmmmmm)

Hopefully he can finish out this season which would give him 17 starts anyway.

Reason why I put that number at 35 is because it is a realistic good sample size. AR has looked bad at times (but only 11 starts), with experience he could turn the corner. Look at the game he had vs NY. I like to see where a QB is at in season 3. Same for WR's, it wasn't until season 3 that Reggie Wayne became the Reggie we know and love.

Looks like Colts are out of the playoffs.

The current 7th seed is 7-5.

Colts are 5-7, 2 full games out.

Is it time to "tank it" ?

Colts beat pats they aren’t out of it yet. Denver plays browns. Browns could play spoiler with Winston at QB. They could get the 7th seed back with a win against st Denver. Unless Miami beats packers Thursday. Miami has one less loss now

We could win our last 5 or at least 4 of 5 and Denver could easily lose 3 more. The schedules for each team is very telling.

Patriots are closer to the colts than some of you think. Titans looked great yesterday too

I don't see us losing to either of those teams. If we do, we don't deserve to be in. I have accepted we are an average team, not better than the good-great teams but better than the bad teams.

Texans have a brutal schedule next four games while finishing with the Titans again. If colts went 5-0 there could be a good chance they actually win the division. But they won’t. Chances are the records will be same as last season. Texans 10-7 and colts 9-8

If colts went 5-0 and Texans lose one of their remaining division games and lose to ravens and chiefs colts would win the division.

Everything is still up in the air because of our remaining schedule compared to other teams tougher schedules.

They have dolphins in there too. We will see. I don’t think this team is mentally tough to win 5 on a row. Denver is going to be tough. Nix is way more experienced then AR

I'd love to get in like I always say, but I think they'll fizzle out eventually. We're to up and down to string together several wins in a row.

To be honest, I don’t even wanna go to the playoffs with the squad. If somehow they made it….you know they would be a one and done. This team just isn’t good enough. Not even close.

I know you all say this but it’s important to players and it also gives them confidence heading into next year. Getting AR experience in the playoffs is big too

I'd say maybe 5 games into season 4.  Season one was a wash after that.

Definitely watch for the Dolphins. They've got momentum now and they have a favorable schedule.  With Archane and Hill they should continue to be competitive. We really played them at the absolute best time. I think they beat us in a rematch 4 out of 5 times.

Forget the playoffs we are not good enough.

After last game I agree.  Even if we sneak in we're probably getting destroyed.  That Lions game was a true playoff material test, and some of the  team imploded.

Most of the teams who make the playoffs aren’t good enough to win the Super Bowl.  We all should know that.  But on any given Sunday anything can happen.  And that’s what excites the players and fans.  The thrill of the game.

I have to agree with other people on this post. We barely beat the Jets, let that sink in so we beat the JV team and now the varsity team comes in on Sunday if Richardson plays well and beats the Lions then that’s a different story but talking about the playoffs right now when we’re one game under 500 with a team that is without an identity is ridiculous to talk about at this point. I’m all for trying to bring up different forms of conversation during the week, but I just don’t see it happening.

We also barely beat the Titans with a still hurt Will Levis. Also barely beat the Dolphins with a backup and 3rd string CB. We’ve only beaten 1 team above .500 this season which was the Steelers.

    • Allen had zero receivers to throw too those first years..he didn't just magically get better with accuracy his third year ..he got better cause diggs joined the team..
    • I hope he can last till the Colts pick.
    • The more I consider it, the more concerned I get.  When I look at the first year statistical comparisons that I posted earlier, Mitchell looks a whole lot more like Phillip Dorsett than he does anyone else.   Mitchell - 13 games | 7 starts | 20 catches on 45 targets (44.4%) | 254 yds | 0 TD's | 19.5 yds/game Downs - 17 games | 9 starts | 68 catches on 98 targets (69.4%) | 771 yds | 2 TD's | 45.4 yds/game Pittman - 13 games | 8 starts | 40 catches on 51 targets (65.6%) | 503 yds | 1 TD | 38.7 yds/game Moncrief - 16 games | 2 starts | 32 catches on 49 targets (65.3%) | 444 yds | 3 TD's | 27.8 yds/game Hilton - 15 games | 1 start | 50 catches on 90 targets (55.6%) | 861 yds | 7 TD's | 57.4 yds/game Dorsett - 11 games | 0 starts | 18 catches on 39 targets (46.2%) | 225 yds | 1 TD | 20.5 yds/game Wayne - 13 games | 9 starts | 27 catches on 49 targets (55.1%) | 345 yds | 0 TD's | 26.5 yds/game
    • As we go through our discussions and observations for Richardson, we've mostly used two quarterbacks as comparison:  Josh Allen (for his early inaccuracy, strong arm, and ability to run) and Cam Newton (for his imposing physicality and strong arm). There's one other quarterback that I feel needs to be in the conversation: Justin Fields Through his career in Chicago, he was a phenomenon running the ball.  He ran for over 1100 yards in 2022!  But he had a lot less success throwing the ball.  So much so that the team finally decided to move on from him after only 3 seasons. I'm not saying "Richardson is exactly like Fields".  But I am saying that the comparison has merit, and bears watching.
    • I implore you to go back and watch the tape from his first 2 seasons. His accuracy was woeful.
