AR limits the play book but unfortunately you have to call it by spreading out WRs

give flacco a wide open play book, and he still limits the offense. so I guess we get what we get at this point

Why does it seem almost every run in up the middle?

Because they want to run behind Nelson and Kelly (yes I know Kelly is hurt but the offense was put in with Kelly there) it’s a huge weakness of Shane.  Even Reich would run Taylor outside and pull Nelson to get Taylor behind him.

To be fair, he had much less time to build rapport with the offense. AR has had almost all season and offseason.

Why is it that for over 3 diff head coaches, all we do is run up the middle?  Is Ballard calling the plays too??

Kelly should go

Is it really ARs inaccuracy due to arm strength or can he see where he’s throwing? May need to get him some glasses ala Ricky Vaughn!?charlie sheen baseball GIF

yeah but he was throwing interceptions to clearly covered wr's that has nothing to do with rapport.

I really dislike these designed QB runs.  To me the danger of an athletic running QB is improvising and RPOs.  I really think the play calling has to be about JT running, JT in space, quick slants (if AR could get short pass accurate), and medium to deep shots well sprinkled in.

When we run JT, we always run him up the middle for some reason

Yes it does. If you don’t have rapport you don’t know who wins jump balls or can break away at the last minute.

It’s because they want to run behind Nelson and have no imagination on how to use Nelson.  Like I said before Reich would call run plays getting Taylor outside with Nelson pulling.  Shane run plays are awful.   I don’t care how good Taylor and Nelson are if that’s all you call even the worst defense in the league can stop it.

no , disagree. but we can move on. Flacco was awful he threw multiple passes he shouldn't have. doesn't matter if there was a mystery player or micky the mouse on the other side. the decisions were awful

I really like Latu, I think he’ll be special

Might be best pass rusher pick of Ballard, just like Ryan Kelly was Grigson’s best OL pick, probably their last year then if history is any indication :)

I would love to see way more outside type runs, like Manning and Edge used to execute to perfection!

On the record of saying it’s time for Ballard to go but when I watch the Colts I see a lot more coaching issues than I do lack of talent issues.

lol “we can move on” (proceeds to not move on)

He almost no time to familiarize with the offense. He was trying to force things (his fault) but he also had no real rapport with them hence, trying to force it.
