Trevor Lawrence is out today against the Vikings and may be out the rest of the year. He reportedly has a shoulder injury.

I think the Vikes can beat Mac Jones.

Levis returns today. He will face the Chargers.

Nico Collins may play against the Lions. I hope Danielle Hunter and Company can limit the Lions offense tonight. That should be an entertaining game.

What an interception by Jewell! I remember him during his draft year. His college uniform (Iowa or Iowa St) looked like the Steelers uniforms. I thought the Steelers would draft him. I think the Broncos drafted him.

Maybe so but he had no business playing last season when he kept getting hurt.

Don't coaches and fans want players to play with injury? Mike Zimmer used to tell player, "You can't make the club in the tub." (You can't make the team if you are out with injuries.)

Sure if they can be played  through. But was costing them games last season

Surely this is the last season of Daniel Jones. I never understood his hype. He could run and that was about it. Couldn’t push the ball, couldn’t make the big plays with his arm. Turnover machine… Can’t read defenses…

Hopefully the colts don’t try and kick tires on him. I know some people think he can be the answer

Some Colts fans want Jones to be the Colts QB.

I like Jones more than others do. I think if he was playing behind the Lions or Falcons offensive line, Jones would be a winning QB. They have never had a good OL.

The kid Tracey fumbled. He is inconsolable but he has been a bright spot for the Giants this year. He can keep his head up.

The Vikings won without scoring a touchdown. That game was mostly defense. They are now 1/2 a game behind Detroit. If Detroit loses, the division will get more interesting.

I saw that the Patriots sacked Caleb Williams 9 times! At least the Colts O-line isn't that bad. Have to find something positive to say.

My soul is dead this year. Quite literally nothing I have supported or wanted is succeeding. 2024 is going down as a huge loss overall in sports and in life...

Bengals are finished. Colts are finished. Steelers going to make the playoffs. Chiefs are going undefeated and winning the Super Bowl...

That I can survive with. It's sports...

But most importantly, I'm most likely losing my job in January...

RollerColt, sorry to hear about your job. That's always difficult to handle. Sports don't seem as important when facing real problems.

BTW, I probably won't watch the Super Bowl if the Chiefs are in it. Couldn't care less about that team. I could change my mind if the Lions are in, though.

Sorry to hear that. You have skills that people can use. I don't know how it is in Indiana, but many states pay teachers well. In my state, many teachers make six figures and retire early. One person on this forum lives in Western NY (Rochester area). He told me that teachers there do about as well as those in NYC and Long Island.

I am hoping the best for you and your family.

The Vikings had 28 first downs in their game against the Jags, but they did not score one touchdown. Darnold threw three interceptions, at least two of them were while in the red zone. He almost had a fourth one. The Vikes made 5 FGs to beat the Jags 15-7.

We have to score more to be at Tennessee next week.

He had 2 receivers open on a flea flicker 30 yards downfield and somehow held the ball long enough to get sacked

Break the OL, any QB looks ordinary. Think Mahomes running like a chicken with its head cut off vs Bucs without starting OTs in SB. They’re getting past Lions OL, Texans tonight.

So many interceptions in football today. There have been 7 in this game alone. There were 5 in both the Vikings game and the Colts game, right?

I did not realize that Sam Darnold was leading the NFL in turnovers. After having three interceptions today, he has a total of 10 interceptions and 3 fumbles lost. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell is still supporting him without a doubt.

Quote

Yet when Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell was asked Sunday whether he had considered a QB change during the game, he quickly replied: “Not one (time). Not one (time) all day long. … We’re all still 100 percent confident in Sam. It would be craziness not to be.”

In his postgame conversation with the team, O’Connell eyed Darnold and said, “Sam, everybody in this locker room knows you are the (expletive) guy who’s gonna take us there.”

I watched the blocked FG in Broncos - Chiefs again and again. Saw in slow motion at McAfee....

Man, I'm no believer of conspiracy theories nor do I think that a pro would rigg a game on purpose.

But the "blocking" by Forsythe looked, how do I call it.....non existent. Really awkward play. He never really moved and fell on his back like a sack of beans.

It seems like the Chiefs get lucky way more often than other teams when opponents forget how to play football on a game deciding play.

    • I hope he can last till the Colts pick.
    • The more I consider it, the more concerned I get.  When I look at the first year statistical comparisons that I posted earlier, Mitchell looks a whole lot more like Phillip Dorsett than he does anyone else.   Mitchell - 13 games | 7 starts | 20 catches on 45 targets (44.4%) | 254 yds | 0 TD's | 19.5 yds/game Downs - 17 games | 9 starts | 68 catches on 98 targets (69.4%) | 771 yds | 2 TD's | 45.4 yds/game Pittman - 13 games | 8 starts | 40 catches on 51 targets (65.6%) | 503 yds | 1 TD | 38.7 yds/game Moncrief - 16 games | 2 starts | 32 catches on 49 targets (65.3%) | 444 yds | 3 TD's | 27.8 yds/game Hilton - 15 games | 1 start | 50 catches on 90 targets (55.6%) | 861 yds | 7 TD's | 57.4 yds/game Dorsett - 11 games | 0 starts | 18 catches on 39 targets (46.2%) | 225 yds | 1 TD | 20.5 yds/game Wayne - 13 games | 9 starts | 27 catches on 49 targets (55.1%) | 345 yds | 0 TD's | 26.5 yds/game
    • As we go through our discussions and observations for Richardson, we've mostly used two quarterbacks as comparison:  Josh Allen (for his early inaccuracy, strong arm, and ability to run) and Cam Newton (for his imposing physicality and strong arm). There's one other quarterback that I feel needs to be in the conversation: Justin Fields Through his career in Chicago, he was a phenomenon running the ball.  He ran for over 1100 yards in 2022!  But he had a lot less success throwing the ball.  So much so that the team finally decided to move on from him after only 3 seasons. I'm not saying "Richardson is exactly like Fields".  But I am saying that the comparison has merit, and bears watching.
    • I implore you to go back and watch the tape from his first 2 seasons. His accuracy was woeful.
    • Nice. I’ve heard people say they think he’s a 1st round caliber corner. I hope he goes to the Senior Bowl.
