Colts @ Vikings

29 members have voted

  1. 1. Considering that the Colts are near full strength on defense and the Vikings LT Christian Darrisaw is not playing, how many sacks will the Colts defense have?

  2. 2. With Flacco at QB and Raimann OUT, how much do you believe the Colts will rush for?

    • fewer than 90 yards
    • 91 to 160 yards
    • more than 160 yards
  3. 3. Who wins?

  4. 4. Bonus Question: Would you like the Colts to draft a quarterback in one of the first two rounds next year?

He had one long bomb, and medium to short passes. 3 completions.

Flacco had a bad game. AR has been garbage all year. These both can be true

You take away the two throws in garbage time vs Jax & Joe hasn’t played too well either. And he did that vs two terrible teams in Jax & Tenn. His first start vs a good team & Joe was more garbage than AR has ever been in his short career.  Joe scored 6 points today & the defense helped with half of that.

The garbage time throws against Jax? You mean where he tied the game with 2:40 to go? lol ok. Be more delusional hahahaha

Delusional?  Did you watch the game?  They went into a prevent but let Pierce get behind them twice in the last 5 minutes. Where were those plays earlier in the game when the offense stalled out?  You want to crown him for a near comeback. We lost. He played poorly for longer stretches than he played well that game. That’s a fact.

You can’t call it garbage time if he ties it up with 2:40 to go in the game.

And I know you’re struggling but I never said crown him. In fact I said he played bad. AR has just played historically bad. Cope.

What cope?  You’re acting like Joe has accomplished something. His good stats came against the worst teams on our schedule. Put him in against a good team & he couldn’t reach 10 points. You must be one of the ones who said we’d be 6-2 with Joe starting all year huh?  😂.  Truth is he’d have gotten exposed against Texans (see last year’s playoff game), Packers, & Dolphins top rated pass defense & no JT.

I get it. He’s a veteran. But he showed tonight why last year was a fluke & he caught a hit streak with Amari Cooper.  He played like a rookie tonight. Not a veteran with over 10 years experience & a Super Bowl ring.

Man you’re spiraling.

AR has played those same weak teams and has been historically bad. Flacco was bad tonight but AR has been worse by every metric available for measuring success in this role.

Maybe you shouldn’t watch sports if you’re gonna get this worked up about it.

Had AR played and produced the same results, most would have said that the Colts would have won with Flacco at QB.

Yep. That's where we are with the quarterback situation. So it should be a pretty easy answer. You try and develop the guy who is 22 and was drafted top 5. If you are looking to tank, you keep Joe Flacco out there with the same strategy as tonight, trade some players off, and hope to lose every game here out.

I’m not defending AR or denying him being historically bad.  But he has not played those weak teams this year.  In fact due to his injuries he’s never played Jax & only Tenn briefly last season. Regardless, he manages to keep us in games despite his erratic play.  So judging by the metric of winning, his teams are .500 in games he starts.  It’s odd, but whenever he plays well he gets injured (Texans, Titans, Steelers) but when he struggles he usually grinds it all the way through.

So even when he doesn’t finish the game, he’s sets his replacement up with a lead and an in sync offense. So, no, AR has not been worse than Joe was tonight and that’s judging by the metrics of points scored by an offense with him playing QB.  An argument can easily be made that an AR led offense wins this game tonight based off a more effective running game and a few chunk plays.

Just as easily could say we lose the game with AR with his play including less completions and more picks and bad decisions.

You don’t get to be historically bad and called as such by varying groups of people by being secretly good.

    • I hope he can last till the Colts pick.
    • The more I consider it, the more concerned I get.  When I look at the first year statistical comparisons that I posted earlier, Mitchell looks a whole lot more like Phillip Dorsett than he does anyone else.   Mitchell - 13 games | 7 starts | 20 catches on 45 targets (44.4%) | 254 yds | 0 TD's | 19.5 yds/game Downs - 17 games | 9 starts | 68 catches on 98 targets (69.4%) | 771 yds | 2 TD's | 45.4 yds/game Pittman - 13 games | 8 starts | 40 catches on 51 targets (65.6%) | 503 yds | 1 TD | 38.7 yds/game Moncrief - 16 games | 2 starts | 32 catches on 49 targets (65.3%) | 444 yds | 3 TD's | 27.8 yds/game Hilton - 15 games | 1 start | 50 catches on 90 targets (55.6%) | 861 yds | 7 TD's | 57.4 yds/game Dorsett - 11 games | 0 starts | 18 catches on 39 targets (46.2%) | 225 yds | 1 TD | 20.5 yds/game Wayne - 13 games | 9 starts | 27 catches on 49 targets (55.1%) | 345 yds | 0 TD's | 26.5 yds/game
    • As we go through our discussions and observations for Richardson, we've mostly used two quarterbacks as comparison:  Josh Allen (for his early inaccuracy, strong arm, and ability to run) and Cam Newton (for his imposing physicality and strong arm). There's one other quarterback that I feel needs to be in the conversation: Justin Fields Through his career in Chicago, he was a phenomenon running the ball.  He ran for over 1100 yards in 2022!  But he had a lot less success throwing the ball.  So much so that the team finally decided to move on from him after only 3 seasons. I'm not saying "Richardson is exactly like Fields".  But I am saying that the comparison has merit, and bears watching.
    • I implore you to go back and watch the tape from his first 2 seasons. His accuracy was woeful.
    • Nice. I’ve heard people say they think he’s a 1st round caliber corner. I hope he goes to the Senior Bowl.
