Expect a few names to change depending on underclassman declaring.

Waiting on the following to see if the following declare early for the draft:

QB needy teams might QB Cade Klubnik (Clemson) or QB Taylen Green (Arkansas) – who I have ranked among the top 5-6 best QBs in this class.  QB Kyron Drones (Virginia Tech) falls into the second group of QBs among QB Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt), QB Dillon Gabriel (Oregon), and QB Kurtis Rouke (Indiana).  OC Bryce Foster (Kansas) has been one of the top-10 OL this year.  RG Jeremiah Wright (Auburn) playing very well and among top 15 OL this season.  RT-LG Bryce Henderson (SoDak) has been a top 5 OL this year among Grey Zabel (North Dakota State) and LT Charles Grant (William & Mary) where both Zabel and Grant could find their names called anywhere on Day 3 from Rounds 5-6.  RB Kaleb Johnson (Iowa) might be the second-best RB behind Jeanty.  RB Dylan Sampson (Tennessee) started out hot and haven’t graded him out since Week 4 but was on pace to be within the top-5 backs in this class.  LDT Derrick Harmon (Oregon) is another strong candidate to declare and ranks among the top-10 DL and top-5 DTs.  NT Jordan Van Den Berg (Georgia Tech) was on pace and better than both NT Simeon Barrow Jr. and DT-3T T.J. Sanders (South Carolina) worthy enough to earned first-round accolades from me.  DT Joshua Farmer (Florida State) is having a solid season and got him ranked among the top-15 DL in this class.  DL LT Overton (Alabama) among the top 15-20 DL and top-10 DT.  WLB Wesley Bissainthe Miami (FL) is among my top-10 LBs and top 3-5 WLBs.  WLB Travion Barnes (FIU) in his only college season has earned Midseason Second-Team All-American.  Barnes is having a Jay Higgins (Iowa) and MLB Shaun Dolac (Buffalo) type of season with 109 TOT, 3 sacks, 1 FR, 1 INT (Pic-6).  FS Robert Spears-Jennings (Oklahoma) is among the top 3 free safeties in this class if he declares among Jahdae Barron and Xavier Watts.

PFF Mock Draft by Trevor Sikkema posted on October 28th he’s got WR Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona) going #3 to NE.  McMillan has been anything but consistent this season compared to other top receivers in this class, and I have him falling out of Round 1.

Pick 6 he took Edge Nic Scourton (Texas A&M) for the Saints and Scourton got him as the 8th best edge rusher with a Round 2-3 grade.

Pick 8 for the Brown’s he drafted WR Luther Burden III just haven’t seen Round 1 talent from him and at best is among top-20 receivers this year with Round 4 grade.

Pick 10 NYG got them taking QB Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) at best tier-3 QB should go R6-UDFA.

Pick 11 the Bengals taking Edge Abdul Carter as an edge rusher been the 10th best which isn’t bad considering spent his first two season at WLB.

Pick 13 Rams taking LCB Will Johnson (Michigan) where Johnson ranks among the 25th best DB this year should be more a late R2 pick I feel especially with a very poor 48.7 tackling grade.

Pick 14 for our Colts same thing seen from off-season until now with Malaki Starks (Georgia) being forecasted to us.  Never thought Starks with our DC was a great fit and ranks among top 20 DB but my 3rd best strong safety in this class available in Round 2.  Both SS Lathan Ransom (OSU) and SS Nick Emmanwori (S. Carolina) would be better options.

Pick 15 Tampa Bay taking Edge James Pearce Jr (TEN) has been playing like a Round 3-4 pick this season.  Pearce did have a great day against then #15 Oklahoma and improved his draft stock again against #7 Alabama for Round 2 consideration.

Pick 16 for the Seahawks has them taking OT Will Campbell (LSU) who is having a horrible season ranking no better than top-25 OL and should be lucky to be even drafted.  Campbell’s didn’t even grade better than 60.0 his first three weeks then in Week 9 against Texas A&M had a 49.3 overall grade.  Logic only gets worse as he takes an undeclared junior in RT Cameron Williams (Texas) for the 49ers pick 17.  Week 2 struggled against Michigan on 71 snaps earned a 44.7 grade, 73.9 PB and 56.2 RB with 4 penalties.  Thought Will Campbell’s grades be bad well William’s is almost 7 points lower.

Now Sikkema’s Pick 19 for the Cardinals is an intriguing pick with DT Omarr Norman-Lott (Tennessee) I agree the Cards can use a NT upgrade and Omarr’s PFF grades have been locked to be so I may have him way undervalued, but he did have a 70.1 grade against UTC in Week 1.  Against #24 NCSU had an 80.2 grade on 14 snaps.  Week 4 against #15 Oklahoma on 21 snaps had a 75.7 grade.  Wasn’t aware that after 8 games has a 20.7% pass-rush win percentage this season.  Steep competition from 3-4 other DTs that I listed earlier could make a case for especially from the Junior class.

Pick 20 Chargers taking DT Kenneth Grant (Michigan) not having a Round 1 type of year and should be lucky to get draft in Round 3 as the 15th best DT currently.

Pick 22 Falcons taking Edge Mykel Williams (Georgia).  Williams has been promoted as a future first round pick for some time.  As a true freshman in the country his 33 pressures were tied for 2nd most.  Williams must have played/gotten injured in Week 1 where he earned a 63.3 PFF grade then didn’t plays Weeks 2-5 with Week 4 a bye week.   He did play well against Auburn with a 71.1 grade and in Week 7 against MSST had a 76.7 grade while his overall grade didn’t change much in Week 8 against #1 Texas.  Draft stock does seem to be improving but still to me isn’t on par with how others have been playing this season and better with a Round 2 grade if he can continue to dominate the rest of the season might crack late Round 1.

Pick 25 for the Steelers is WR/PR Isaiah Bond (Texas) and the Steelers do need upgrades at both Z and slot receiver positions.  Bond hasn’t had the season to warrant Round 1 consideration and ranks around top-25 receiver this season.  He did have a great day against UTSA with a 79.3 grade but turned in bad performances against UL-Monroe with a 67.0 grade.  Against #18 Oklahoma had a 54.6 grade and didn’t perform well against Georgia.

P29 Washington takes OT Aireontae Ersey (Minnesota) and unfortunately, he’s still inconsistent at times.  One week he turns in a 55.1 PFF grade then in Week 4 against Iowa had a 78.1 grade.  Week 5 against #11 Michigan had a 57.0 grade. Week 6 against USC had a 79.2 grade.  As a top 10-15 OL he scares me too much to even be on my big draft board let alone be considered as a Round 1 draft pick.

Pick 30 for the Texans has them selecting RG Tate Ratledge (Georgia) after the first three weeks proved to be a much better consistent player than Ersey.   Unfortunately, Ratledge been injured and didn’t play in Week 5 against #1 Alabama or versus Auburn.  Monitor his injury but at best have him as a Day 2 selection.

Pick 32 for the Chiefs is another head scratcher in LT Josh Simmons (OSU) who on the season has been horrible and just above his Pick 16 for the Seahawks taking OT Will Campbell (LSU).  Simmons in 2022 Simmons was flagged 17 time and had 7 more penalties after his first 8 games as a buckeye before adding just one flag in final five games in 2023.  Against lower tier teams he performed well the first four weeks but in Week 7 against #3 Oregon only had a 38.3 grade.  Never had Simmons better than a Round 5 grade.

Overall common theme where too many preseason picks have fallen off once season as progressed and will be lucky to get drafted.  Especially players like OT Emery Jones Jr (LSU) who has a 56.2 season grade. LT Earnest Greene III (Georgia) not much better.  OC Parker Brailsford (Alabama) and LG Tyler Booker (Alabama) also disappointing with grades in the 60's. OL Jonah Monheim (USC) remember being a talked about has been invisible and should go undrafted same as hopefuls LG Dylan Fairchild (Georgia) and RG Jaeden Roberts (Alabama).  What was projected to be solid OL this year have fizzled out.
