Hopefully they get Paye and Moore back.  That might help some but they have only been out the last two games and the defense has struggled far more than those two games this year.

The defense didn’t struggle this bad though. We were able to keep points down. The issue today was those ridiculous big plays where they let jags have short scoring drives.

I know Levis has made bone-headed plays at bad times, but I imagine he'll have a good game if he plays us. I'm glad the Colts didn't draft him, but it's not like he's been worse than Richardson this season.

Levis -     68.4% comp, 604 passing yards, 4 TD, 6 INT, 72.8 passer rating

Richardson - 50.6% comp, 654 passing yards, 3 TD, 6 INT, 60.2 passer rating

True, but even with Paye, Moore, and Buck, Gus would still give a ten yard cushion on 3rd and 7.

His D concept is entirely based on hoping the other team messes up.

It’s proven not to work against good QBs.  Now, with good players out it’s even a worse scheme.

But “I like our guys!”

Proof that completion percentage  don't  mean much

They’re already WAAAAY past due to fire Gus Bradley. He should’ve been gone like 2 years ago.

I’m sure the head coach can influence Gus on changing up the defense to blitz more. It’s on him to since he’s in charge.

I don't agree with that. Richardson has more yards than Levis this season because he has hit on a few long passes. That's great and we need it to continue. On the other hand, Richardson needs to get his completion percentage higher because you can't sustain drives with a 50% completion percentage. It's been all of nothing for him too often this season. That leads to an inconsistent offense with too many short possessions.

I am completely on the fire Gus train.

Really hard to imagine the Colts winning after watching how bad the defense is. I think Levis will shine. If Flacco plays I think we eek out a win 31-28. If AR starts it’s probably more like 28-13 Titans. An AR lead offense can’t stay on the field long enough to give our defense a breather. Then again who knows? Maybe we’ll get some players back from

injury and that will help…

I'd like for Duke Tomatoe (Lord Help Our Colts) to pick up a new song:

Hop on the Bus, Gus

You Don't Need to Discuss Much

Just Step Away from the Colts D

And Set Yourself Free

Titans have a much better defense than the Jags. However they have less weapons  and skill on offense could be a another sloppy slugfest.

I will say Gus doesnt have the players to do anything we want. our good players are out and injured. BUT, i wont give him a pass on playing so deep with the corners when its 3rd and long. Has to be the dumbest thing you can do and he doe it way to often. Even when we have our guys, he still does it and it doesn't make sense. Why blitz if the corners are so far off.

I believe that Levis will have a career game.  And not because he's all that good.

Our defense is dipping into the "historically bad" category.

It doesn't matter if Flacco starts or if Richardson starts.

It doesn't matter if JT plays or if he doesn't play.

There's nothing you can do when your defense doesn't stop anybody.

If Richardson starts:

Titans 30, Colts 17

If Flacco starts

Titans 30, Colts 28

Titans will constantly attack the soft Middle of Colts' defense.

Offense plays well, but not enough to carry the defense.

34-27 Titans

You know what they say about generalizations from one case.

I do think it is interesting that during the Colts round table He mentioned the need to rush the passer with 4,5 or 6 guys to get pressure and Levis is known to struggle against the blitz. Perhaps Steichen has told Bradley to blitz more and we will see more blitzing this weekend

It’s tough their OL is bad but the Colts are missing 3 DL in Buckner, Paye and Lewis that could give them trouble. Hopefully Paye plays this week they need him.

After season opening highly disappointing two losses coupled with the debacle of a loss vs Jacksonville, I cannot imagine why the Colts ought to beat the Titans.  Ergo, I guess I’ll predict that the lowly Colts will make Levi’s the game star and lose the game. :(

I have gone to a dark place of pessimism and if these horrible Colts showings continue, I foresee Gus soon being fired in-season and Ballard being fired upon completion of the season.

I mean, I hope I am wrong and the Colts can turn this thing around, but ugh, like I said, I’ve fallen into an abyss of pessimism, which is very uncharacteristic of me.

Would be nice if we see AR, JT, Kenny and Paye practice tomorrow or at least half of them lol.

How did he even get injured didn’t watch that game.

A real shame about the Fries injury; he was having an excellent start to the season. The OL is tracking to have their best unit overall performance in a few years.

The current outlier is Braden Smith who is the lowest graded OL through 6 games at 64.5; with a pass blocking grade of 64.1. and run blocking grade of 69.2.

Raimann was an absolute steal in the 3rd round at  #77 in 2022.

Next Man Up - hopefully Tucker holds up vs. the Titans.

It was his fault. He like tried to dodge a tackle and landed on his shoulder out of bounds.  Apparently it’s a mild AC joint sprain.
