Red zone defense. Mostly good. Holding them to field goals was key to winning. Overall defense. Not so good. I was just expecting us to force more than 1 punt against a subpar offense with a rookie QB. Drake Maye looked much too comfortable. Even his interception was more of a fluke where the tight end kicked the ball up into the air. Just my opinion. I guess my point is if even if we lose games as long as the defense can improve down the stretch it will be a positive. You've been in a bad mood quite a bit lately... I'm sorry if I'm contributing to that. -
I think, we might have a position battle at Center next training camp between Pinter and Bortallini.

We are basically last in every defensive category by Bradley's design! He excels at being a bad defensive coordinator. We could fire him and not even have to replace him. Just let the defense play sandlot football for the rest of the year. It would be an improvement.

FWIW: I have no expectation of making the playoffs. If it happens — great. But I do really really want to finish 9-8. I think having a winning record in the first two seasons for Steichen under the strangest of circumstances would be good for the franchise. I’ll take my victories — however small — anywhere I can find them.
