2024 Elite League Season

Good afternoon, everyone!

 

I have activated the Elite league for the 2024 season on nfl.com Since the Joe's league went belly-up, there will be no promotion/demotion. We will fill any vacancies on a first come basis.

 

Let's start thinking about any rules changes that you would like to propose. I know last year there was miscommunication at the start of the year (on me) that resulted in some confusion and angst over a special rule that we had in years past about making the playoffs with x number of wins and so many points. I would prefer to do the same this year and nix that rule and let the final ranking determine who is in the playoffs.

 

Let me know your thoughts, suggestions and whether or not you will be returning so that we can get a full league and start working on draft dates.

I'd love to see us go to a full ppr as opposed to half ppl. But I'm not gonna make any waves if I am in the minority there.

Hello,

I'm back in.

 

By the way and after the small discussion we had last year, I would like to revisit the last playoff spot rule.

 

The initial idea of this rule was to remove randomness from the game and the head 2 head system. You can have a great team scoring a lot of points but facing the highest scorer almost every week and have a bad record.

 

A modification was made to the rules making it more difficult, even I voted Y to it, something I think was a mistake.

 

In my opinion the last playoff spot should be for the team with the most points scored between seeds 6th - 12th with no other requeriments or added condition.

I can make that work if need be.  But id prefer after 6pm edt.  I can make 4:30 pm edt work on the weekend.

I'm cool with that. I'll probably be on the football field that night 6-8 but dont worry about me. I'll be drafting from my phone

I will do my best to make anything work. The 4/4:30 ET slot works well for me. I have to put my little ones to bed from around 7:30pm-9pm ET daily. So if we do anything in that time frame I’d likely be out. But the earlier euro time slot works well for me if we end up going w that

Perfect. I’ve update the draft time to 4:30pm EDT. It looks like that works for a lot of us. I’m trying to avoid drafting over the holiday weekend.

I don’t think I’ll have time for fantasy this year. Working crazy hours 7 days a week at new job. Can’t even keep up with laundry
