Collie was very good at attacking zones, unfortunately Manning consistently threw him in harms way. Manning did the same to Dallas his first few years. 

They both got destroyed a number of times.

I think if Austin was playing with the newer rules protecting players, he would have had a longer career.

 

Although, a cheap hit like the one that took him out, could always happen.

 

I just think it's so cool that he and Shane played together in high school and are still friends.

I was such a big fan of Collie. After that Philly game, he was never the same again. * fans were cheering his injury and booing the penalty.

I have a Collie Colts  jersey. Very tough nose player also very cerebral. I agree it’s a shame that those concussions that him in. I’m glad he’s doing well now and not suffering the effects. I’m glad you’re here Austin.

I liked Shane as soon as I heard he was a unlv guy... Grew up on those unlv basketball teams of the 90's...
