I don't understand why people are blaming steichen. The only mistake I see is wasting a timeout at the end.

Play call was fine. Bad execution by a backup QB and a practice squad running back.

Season on the line and we throw it to a practice squad running back.

That's the confusing part for me. The play was there, but expecting a 4th string running back to make a pressure catch like that is too risky.

Highly disappointed in 2 decisions.

The rest I can deal with.

1. Timeout on 4th and 1(dumbest thing ever)(literally run any play, if you don't get it you still have all 3 timeouts.)

2. Having Goodson in the game ever when Taylor and Moss are active....

Thanks for the season Gardner, hopefully that was the last time I have to watch you be our starter though.

Dear God….. no one wants to hear your judgmental nonsense right now been a fan waaaaay longer then you so beat it

You’ve been a fan way longer than me?   I’m about to turn 67, so I highly doubt it.

I’ve probably followed the NFL longer than you’ve been alive.  (55+ years).

Was that his first snap in the game? I don't remember seeing him earlier in the game.

You just said it. Bad execution by a practice squad running back when the best player on the roster (who had 188 yards rushing tonight) is watching from the sideline. You can try to justify that all you want, but it cannot be justified.

Colts were beaten by the better team.

It's up to Ballard to.fix it.

Can Ballard fix it ?

Casserrio had way more obstacles to over overcome than Ballard and look what he has built. There are young players makers all over that team. Ballard needs to go.

I feel like the people comparing Reich to steichen are really just doing it out of spite.

I'm not sure where the motivation comes from but I saw considerable differences in the team and the management of players.

Reich is the first head coach to be fired in back to back seasons. Steichen Inherited a 4 win team and just almost took them to the playoffs. They're  not the same.

    • Going into the season the " Roller Coaster" description was on everyones lips, I didn't like it but knew it was probably true as AR needed to get some experience.....However, my concern has grown as this is coaster hasnt climbed anything in fact its dropping like a stone, and  I keep waiting to hear the "chink, chink" of some hill climbing........right now its more of a subway train than a roller coaster........give me some chink, chink, chink... to give me some hope
    • We need some innovative type D coordinator that can work hand in hand with the GM to balance out salary cap restrictions that hopefully will come when AR gets to be a good QB, at least as a fan I pray we get there....right now AR passes like I do.....which is frightening........ Keying in on player specific traits ala Polians type build cause we are not a wealthy enough franchise to have stars everywhere.....we need specific specialists at key positions on defense to compliment a (Future) potent offense.......
    • My take: If Richardson is so poor on general playability that we are game planning to train vs game planning to win, he shouldn't be starting in the first place. The offense ia already set up to his strengths.....so game calling to "teach him lessons" sounds like coddling a petulant child. He needs technique and experience help but if we have to hold his hand on play calling roll out the re-tread and lets hope for next year!
    • This is probably the homer in me but I think we win big today. Richardson’s best game of his career is coming.
    • Your Indianapolis Colts host their nemesis Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday afternoon. The Colts look to quiet the Steelers and improve their record to 2-2. The Steelers are trying to remain undefeated but to do so, they have to stop AR, JT,  and a group of dynamic wide receivers.     Final Injury Report (Saturday): PITTSBURGH STEELERS RB Jaylen Warren (knee): out TE MyCole Pruitt (knee): out OLB Alex Highsmith (groin): out LG Isaac Seumalo (pectoral): OUT QB Russell Wilson (calf): questionable   INDIANAPOLIS COLTS CB Kenny Moore II (hip): out DE Kwity Paye (quad): out C Ryan Kelly (neck): questionable CB Chris Lammons (knee/ankle): questionable DE Tyquan Lewis (calf/wrist): questionable T Braden Smith (knee): questionable   Not having Kwity Paye and Kenny Moore is a bummer. How do you think it will affect the defensive strategy against the Steelers? Are you concerned at all about the Steelers offense? What are your thoughts on AR, JT and company carving up the Steelers defense?   During the game, please keep the game discussion here, not in the Colts section.   Good Luck! Enjoy the game.
