Anyone at the game today??? On tv, didn’t look like the home fans brought the juice??

we will need the rabid Indy fans in attendance next week.

I mean the Raiders had three false starts and they are one of the more disciplined teams in the league so something was causing them to jump.

Next week will be wild.

At this point I think we all know the strength and defenses of this team. This off-season will be very important in seeing what decisions Steichen makes to improve the roster/potentially coaching.

It would be nice to see the Colts seal the deal next week and go to the playoffs, but it's nice to see that even with the roster that Steichen mostly  inherited from the last regime, they improved considerably.

Colts will have to make stroud stay patient and not allow big plays and hopefully they will be ok.

Stroud will be the best QB we’ve faces since Lamar (or that girl who plays for Jacksonville).  Hope Kenny is back.

Also have to give them a ton of credit.  They were considered the worst team in the league by the talking heads at the start of the season.

It’s their OL that’s been the unsung hero that we need to get through, otherwise it will be like Falcons game where they run and pass.

Keeping Stroud off the field is our best formula

I had a feeling the Raiders would be unfocused after coming off that high of beating the Chiefs. It seemed that way they commit the least amounts of penalties in the NFL  and gave up many today.  Props to the Colts for playing a smart and clean game.

Several have mentioned that a 9 win season is pretty good for a team coming from where we were last year. Some of us, myself included, tend to forget that simple fact. So before I go back to my normal complaining and accusing, I want to extend "kudos" to the Colts players, coaches, and staff. Keep moving forward.

Some people need to realize that this was a 4-13 team last season that came into the 2023 season with a rookie QB and head coach in Shane Steichen. Win or lose next weekend the fact this team has won 9 games in 2023 and is in the conversation for a playoff spot is a successful season.

But they were not really a 4-13 team. They didn’t even make many changes. Just better coaching.

U can say that to some degree. U have to remember this. This was a very easy schedule, and they didn't face any top flight qbs all year. That's why it is really hard to get overly excited about this year.  They make the play offs and next years schedule gets way tougher. Then if they crater next season, and  everyone will say what happened. Regardless of how the season plays out this needs to happen. Richardson needs to stay healthy. Go after legit wr. The whole defense needs a scheme change and with it a new coach. This team needs to find an outside pass rusher and that maybe the hardest postion to find outside of a qb. U get a guy like Higgins, and the draft can be used to go after some defensive talent. Not athletes but football players. Oh, and let Steichen draft and put Ballard in a  closet, lol

I just don’t understand playing a soft zone almost all the time and why the colts don’t run more outside or hand the ball off from under center. The dc gets a lot of well deserved grief, but I think the hc should be getting some also instead of all the praise he gets. I don’t think the offense is playing to its best player’s strengths. Rpo needs a much  better qb than the colts have.

We have him.

If we play bad next week and lose that will be a bad taste in my mouth.  If the Texans just beat us I can live that.

Being a Colts fan since '74, fans have had their share of them late in the season losing a game to keep themselves out of the playoffs. So I understand your feelings.

Exxxxxxxactly. Seems like opposing receivers are continually wide open for critical 3rd and 4th down conversions. Glad the Colts won, but it was closer than it needed to be. Not a fan of the Gus Bradley D.

On the bright side, it was nice to see Pierce catch a long one. He's been wide open down field so many times this season. It was nice that Gardner finally noticed and took advantage.

For me the pain began in my 3rd year as a Colts fan.  Super Bowl III.  I still believe the fix was in.

I think titans are done. It will probably be Tannehill next week with the Levis injury. Stroud didn’t throw for many yards today. Just a little over 200.

I think just the opposite...Tannehill and others will be playing for their future..Vrabel is a good coach.

At least we aren’t giving up 50 or more points like some of the teams that are already in the playoffs have done.

I just knew this would be a tough game. The Colts usually let a new QB do what they want. Adams went off and they made a great play on the 4th down. We sure have their receivers a lot of space and it almost could have come back to bite us . However it’s a win so let’s go Horse

Gus Bradley has to go. He is spotting the team free points with the way he plays the secondary. His defense also seems to struggle with check downs for whatever reason. He’s holding the team back. We won’t win 9 games with a healthy AR next season if he’s still the DC.

    • Here’s a fun exercise! Let’s go over a list of players who have signed, or re-signed here after actually hitting free agency (if top free agents don’t want to come here then surely they don’t stay after hitting FA, right?) and where they have ranked in those free agency classes from credible media outlets!    2012 (Per CBS Sports top 100) Reggie Wayne (Re-signed) -22 Cory Redding - 39 Samson Satele - 68 2013 (Per NFL[dot]com top 85) Gosder Cherilus - 46 LaRon Landry - 57 2014 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Hakeem Nicks - 22 Art Jones - 32 D’Qwell Jackson - 49 2015 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Andre Johnson - 20 Frank Gore - 29 Trent Cole - 31 Kendall Langford - 64   2016 (Per NFL[dot]com top 99) Patrick Robinson - 79   2017 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Jonathan Hankins - 11 Jabaal Sheard - 29 Jack Doyle (Re-signed) - 61 John Simon - 64 Darius Butler (Re-signed) - 100 Margus Hunt - 101   2018 (Per anyone and everyone) None   2019 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Justin Houston - 8 Devin Funchess - 45 Pierre Desir (Re-signed) - 46 Clayton Geathers (Re-signed) - 63 2020 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Philip Rivers - 11 Anthony Costanzo (Re-signed) - 12 2021 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) TY Hilton (Re-signed) - 33 Eric Fisher - 42 Xavier Rhodes - 53 Marlon Mack (Re-signed) - 79 Al-Quadin Muhammad (Re-signed) - 99 2022 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Stephon Gilmore - 12 2023 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Samson Ebukam - 58 Gardner Minshew - 95   2024 (Per NFL[dot]com top 101) Julian Blackmon (Re-signed) - 35 Kenny Moore (Re-signed) - 38 Grover Stewart (Re-signed) - 40   Regardless of how any of these signings actually worked out, it’s time to give the argument that top free agents won’t come here the old yeller treatment and bury it. It’s nonsense.
    • Because some are here to be right not support the Colts.
    • Huh?   Are you under the impression that a head coach — any head coach — approaches all 17 regular season games like a playoff game?   They don’t.      So I don’t care what Wash is doing with Daniels, they’re not the same player.  Daniels is far more experienced than AR, so how Wash uses JD is going to be different than how Steichen uses AR.     So my point is that Steichen can try to do both….   groom Richardson AND win games.  It doesn’t have to be one or the other.  It can be both.  Sorry we see this differently.
    • Because we have a GM who won’t really attempt to do business.    Ryan Grigson didn’t have a problem landing free agents.   Andre Johnson was a superstar when he came here. We didn’t know he was washed up until after he got here and he got out on the field.    Does the name “Frank Gore” ring a bell? At all? He’s only a hall of fame player, so maybe you’ve never heard of him.   Corey Redding signed here late in his career, and he helped get Pagano’s 3-4 off the ground.    Mike Adams came here and promptly made a pair of pro-bowls.    Gosder Cherilus was considered one of the best right tackles in the league when he signed here, despite how it turned out.    Ahmad Bradshaw came here before injuries derailed his career for good.    LaRon Landry was a heavily sought after free agent, and chose to come here to make the bank to buy his juice.    Erik Walden came here and far exceeded the deal he was on.    Art Jones had a lot of interest around the league when he signed here before injuries and getting hooked up with LaRon Landry’s juice dealer got in the way.   D’qwell Jackson signed here after being one of the league’s leading tacklers for the Browns and made a pro bowl that same year.    Hakeem Nicks signed here after starting a winning Super Bowl for the Giants and having a 1K+ yards and 10+ TD season. He had multiple 1K yard seasons under his belt on arrival.    What about trades? Vontae Davis came here in a trade. Glaze over it with the benefit of hindsight all you want, but Trent Richardson was 1 year removed from being the 3rd overall pick, and had put up 1K yards rushing as a rookie when he landed in town.     Hell, even Ballard has been able to land some high quality free agents when he’s actually been willing to make a deal. Philip Rivers and Stephon Gilmore didn’t wind up here because the league told them they had to be here.    The facts that these free agents all signed here aren’t untrue simply because you either don’t remember them, or just flat out don’t know them. Luckily someone writes these signings down somewhere for the sake of posterity, so we can look back on those official records and prove that they did in fact happen, despite the claims to the contrary.
