Happy New Year's Eve, everyone!

Your Indianapolis Colts will host the Las Vegas Raiders to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Raiders have played a lot better since Antonio Pierce replaced Josh McDaniels as head coach. They stunned the Chiefs last week. How do you think the Colts matches up against the Raiders?

Pacers were on fire last night.(23-43 from 3pt range 53.5%)

Haliburton became the 3rd player to ever have back to back 20 pts + 20 assists games(Magic, Stockton, Haliburton)

Haliburton tied franchise record with 23 assists(Tinsley)

Nesmith hit (7) 3's, Turner (6), Mathurin (3) off bench while adding 20pts.

Happy National Basketball Association GIF by NBA

Anyway, thought I'd give them a shout out, back to the normally scheduled programming.

Win or go home game. I think we can win today. A little help from other teams would be nice too. Trevor Lawrence is out today. Stroud is back.

Yeah, the ideal scenario today:

1pm

#2 Dolphins @ #1 Ravens ~ Either way has positives, Dolphins winning keeps a lot of teams playing for #1 though.

Panthers @ #4 Jaguars

#16 Patriots @ #6 Bills

#11 Raiders @ #7 Colts

#14 Titans @ #8 Texans

4pm

#9 Steelers @ #7(NFC) Seahawks

#10 Bengals @ #3 Chiefs

#15 Chargers @ #12 Broncos

Colts start with 48% change to make the playoffs

Goes to 67% with a win, 23% with a loss

Just by Titans beating the Texans our % would go up to 86%

Scenario above would put playoff chances at 97% chance to get in.(w/o Ravens/Dolphins, both take to 98%)

Would need in week 18:(win by ANY of these teams(1 win))

Browns

Broncos

Dolphins

Titans (Colts would be Division Champs, regardless what happens in the Texans game.)

Side Bar: just found one of the easier scenarios:

Week 17:

Colts win

Titans win

Seahawks win

Chiefs win

Week 18:(Colts lose)

Browns win

 or

Steelers win

Thanks for openiethe thread again, NFLfan!

Thanks for the "scenario" post w87r.  It makes knowing who to cheer for so much *easier*, haha.  I love having so many teams in the hunt with only 2 games remaining.  Parity is truly alive in the NFL.

D needs to show up early and we can put this to bed somewhat quickly.  For some reason I see the Colts getting up quick and this being (a very unlikely) 34-14 blowout, Colts.  Offense should click with the starting 5 being together again up front.

Go Colts.  All day.  Every day.  :coltshelmet:

The D is going to have to take chances with some early blitzing.

The O is going to have to control the clock and give the defense a breather.

The 12th man has to get loud and relentless. Fans should come out of LOS unable to speak.

Feeling butterflies late in December feels great!!!!

Does anyone live near Portage, IN or Mishawaka, IN? What an incredible story about the young man stuck in his vehicle for six days and survived. He was found by fishermen. That is a miracle. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Quote

Two men near Portage, Ind., were scouting a creek for potential fishing spots on Tuesday when they spotted a shiny object through the trees. They moved closer and saw that it was a mangled vehicle.

One of the men, Mario Garcia, said that he looked inside, pushed aside the airbag and found what he thought was a lifeless body.

But upon touch, a young man, still alive, awoke.

“He was very happy to see us,” Mr. Garcia said at a news conference. “I’ve never seen a relief like that.”

The driver, Matthew R, 27, of Mishawaka, Ind., had been trapped in the crumpled 2016 Ram truck for six days, according to the authorities.

I hope if colts win the toss they take the ball on offense first with the beat up secondary.

Don't think it will matter much. If Raiders fall behind by two scores early...maybe,  Either way, it's up to the D to help us build a lead, not get behind early.  Hopefully no slow starts on either side of the ball.

D is way too banged up. We are going to have to score a bunch of points today.

    • Once again running out time to put out a complete list of both offense and defensive players and where I have them ranked among their peers.  Common theme from original pre-college Week 1 many of the top players are not even listed or have fallen sharply after around 4 weeks of playing.    2025 NFL Draft QBs Cam Ward - Miami (FL) - Ward’s 3x300 games in a row have earned him 3-straight 90.0+ passing grades.  Jaxson Dart (MISS)  Diego Pavia (Vandy) - after 4 weeks and is R2 in the SEC ahead of Ewers, Manning, Milroe, Nussmeier, and Carson Beck.  Thrown 6 TDs no INTs, recovered 3 teammate fumbles. Ben Wooldridge (Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns) Noah Fiftia (Arizona)  KJ Jefferson (UCF) Tyler Shough (Louisville)  Cam Miller (NDST) Kyle McCord (Syracuse)   2025 NFL Draft OL LG Michael McAninch (Air Force) - After 3 weeks has a 91.7 overall season grade with a 92.4 RB grade.  Proved he can hold up to Baylor didn’t allow any QB pressure. RT Tyler Needham (Rutgers) 6’4” 306-pounds – After 3 weeks been dominant.  On 48 PB snaps only given up 1 QB hurry. LT/RT/OG Grey Zabel (North Dakota State) RT Lucas Scott (Army) 6’3” 305-pounds – After 3 weeks has an 85.2 RB grade.  Figure the Army trains more hand-to-hand combat and could be decent in PB game as well. LG Joshua Gray (Oregon State) LG Donovan Jackson (OSU) - good to see Jackson play again and display his dominance in his return to action. OT Wyatt Milum (West Virginia) RG Luke Kandra (Cincinnati) RG Tate Ratledge (Georgia LT Kelvin Banks Jr (Texas) LG Dylan Fairchild (Georgia) LT Percy Lewis (Auburn) 6’7” 355-pounds – After 4 weeks on 85 snaps has a 78.5 grade as a backup. OC Jake Slaughter (Florida) LT Josh Simmons (OSU)   2025 NFL Draft RBs RB/WR-KR Brashard Smith (Southern Methodist) 5’10” 196 pounds - Smith already has 17 missed tackles, 3rd most among all college RBs. RB Ashton Jeanty (Boise St) 5’9” 215-pounds  RB Quinshon Judkins (OSU) 6’0 219-pounds RB Jonah Coleman (Washington) RB RJ Harvey (UCF) 5’9” 208-pounds RB Ja’Quinden Jackson (Arkansas) 6’2” 233-pounds – Issues fumbling RB Treveyon Henderson (OSU) 5’10” 208 pounds RB Devin Neal (Kansas) 5’11” 215 pounds RB Omarion Hampton (UNC) 6’0” 220 pounds RB Nicholas Singleton (PSU) 6’0” 227 pounds RB Jo’Quavious “Woody” Marks (USC) 5’10 208-pounds   2025 NFL Draft WRs WR-Z Tai Felton (Maryland) WR-X Tre Harris (Mississippi) WR-X Ricky White (UNLV) WR-SL Nick Nash (San Jose State) WR-X Tetairoa McMillian (Arizona) WR-Z Kobe Hudson (UCF) WR-SL Kaedin Robinson (App St) WR-SL Xavier Restrepo Miami (FL) WR-X Andrew Armstrong (Arkansas) WR-M/ST PR-KR Jaylin Noel (Iowa St) WR-X Jayden Higgins (Iowa St) WR-Y Emeka Egbuka (OSU)   2025 NFL Draft TE TE Harold Fannin Jr. (Bowling Green) - outproduced rest of TE class against top 25 ranked teams and single-handedly beat PSU.  Prior to week 4 R1 I total yards (204) and YAC with 131. TE Tyler Warren (PSU) TE Jalin Conyers (Texas Tech) - After 3 weeks has an 83.7 overall PFF grade and with Texas Tech excelling in run-blocking. TE Brant Kuithe (Utah) TE/WR Oronde Gadsden II (Syracuse) TE Colston Loveland (Michigan) TE Terrance Ferguson (Oregon) TE Jake Briningstool (Clemson)
    • Josh Allen Buffalo bills.  Super raw passer but big body with wheels.  It can happen just not easy or likely to happen
    • Thanks NFL for another typical primetime NFL LEast matchup. We learned both teams suck as bad as we thought they did
