Those first theee snaps he was getting killed. Sure enough Oline got him killed. I remember right  before he got injured saying their Oline was going to get Rodger’s killed.

I thought he had a non-contact injury. Maybe I am not remembering correctly.

He might of not got touched but there was so much pressure he was playing dodge ball.

Floyd had him wrapped up and Rodgers tried to spin away.  There was contact, but he wasn't smashed or anything.  He tried to spin away and came up lame.  Left tackle whiffed on the block.  I can't find his number on their roster.  I guess I know why, lol.

If you count Baltimore days then Karl Douglas was drafted in 3rd round to succeed Johnny U in 1971 (3rd round) lasted 1 season and was cut......ended up in CFL and later USFL.....not often a 3rd round is cut in 1 year with no snaps. Luckily club drafted Bert Jones soon after

Ah Bert Jones… one of the best spirals of the game.

If anything browns having such a good record shows how ridiculous the Watson trade was.

Yeah, could even argue that ridiculous trades like that can also either work or in this case fail but not completely screw over the team.

Funny how the Browns are still going strong while the Broncos are imploding.

@RollerColt  What did your dad think of the drafting of Ki-Jana Carter. I believe that was the first draft that I followed (1995). So much was expected of him but injuries ruined his career.

Ah the one with so much talent but he blew his knee out right? I think he was a Heisman too…

Joe Burrow has accomplished enough in his career already to tell me by my eye test he is 2nd only behind Pat Mahomes in the now. He beat Mahomes once in KC and went to the SB.

And with how KC is playing and distracted, a Burrow led Cincy team would probably be challenging for the #1 seed. What a waste…

With a healthy Burrow, Cincy would be 11-4 IMO instead of 8-7 (it is a damn shame). Ravens are great this year but having said that, if Cincy had Burrow even as a wildcard, they could win 3 games and make the SB. He is that great.

Hell during the Ravens game when he got injured it seemed like he had Baltimore’s defense figured out. Hopefully he comes back next season with a vengeance.

@NFLfan so I mentioned Carter to my dad and this was essentially his response:

Those were the days that no matter what they did, the Bengals seemed to make moves that did not work. How times have changed! They have made very good moves in the draft and free agency in the last 13 or so years.
