East Street is very knowledgeable, he is our stats guy. He just disappeared, not sure what happened there??

oh yeah, im not sure either. i've had a lot of debates with him though, we agreed on some things, but not a lot.

always loved arguing his numbers and stuff. wish he'd hop back on, hopefully his health is fine.

i used to wonder when i stepped away from the forum if people wondered if i was dead lol. there have been some times i stepped away for like 6-12 months on here.

Sometimes people just take the off-season and show up once real games start.  Without getting into a debate I believe at least one of the people you are talking about had a hard time following the rules here and got mad at the mods for calling them on it.

Not to be the “old guy” but I’ve been here since 2003.  Great posters sometimes leave.  We’ve lost good ones like Phil, Tubaguy, PeytonGirl, Jules and others to name a few.

possibly, sometimes people take their disagreements a little personal. hopefully that is not the case, one of my favorite things on this forum is a sensible person who has a different viewpoint. actually makes the forum interesting. another one of my favorites on here is @jvan1973

of course @NewColtsFan and i usually disagree, but at least there is fun dialogue.

@2006Coltsbestever we typically agree on most things, so don't usually quote you. LOL

There have been a few times where I take a week or 2 off. I usually let a couple know if I am doing so though. When it came to East Street, him and I have had some heated debates, but they were fun, nothing personal. He knew I was always right - just joking. He is missed here.

oh yeah, I won all my debates with him for sure. and he's not here to say otherwise, so...

"sensible" is the key word. If someone has a great opinion that is hard to debate, I respect that a lot.

agreed, one hundred percent. @Superman is one of those people imo, usually learn something talking to him about football, or related stuff in general

@Supermanand @w87rusually they have well thought out posts. I have learned a lot from both and I have been around long time. @w87rI almost agree on with everything because we do lists on greatest players and teams and are close on everything.

i think i joined the forum in 2018, but for like the first year or so i mainly just read what people were saying unless i saw something crazy, then i had to add my 2 cents lol

Dezmon Patmon was released by the Bills.

Could be interesting, I think we have enough WRs to choose from but never know.

Patmon Fountain and Cain all made plays against us this pre season

I joined sometime in 06, then left for a while before coming back in 2018.

I am guessing they keep six so based on that I think the last two spots are wide open so wouldn’t rule out them bringing back someone like Patmon if they saw something they liked.

He had a 92.3 PFF rating against us.

i was 9 in 06, but i was living in indy.

actually, my first year becoming a colts fan, my mom was always a big fan, but pretty much since then been a fan. I started seriously watching football during the Luck era though, so that's where most of my opinions come from,.

At least you were old enough to enjoy the Manning era and see us win the Super Bowl. Once I was around 8 or 9 I started to get a firm grasp of understanding who was good and bad, etc.. I was 9 in 1980.

    • Lol. Sure, I meant he ALWAYS makes those mistakes. I think you’re smart enough to know that I meant he’s made those mistakes enough that it’s kind of alarming to me. If you’re not alarmed, cool.
    • They do need an offensive mind, though. I said from the moment he was hired there that it was a move that was dead on arrival. Pairing a QB like Fields (and now Willams,) with a guy like Flus wasn’t productive for either side. Both of those QBs would benefit far more from having an offensive guy at the helm than a defensive one. A defensive coach needs to have a strong offensive staff in place to help those young QBs and Flus did not.    Fields is the perfect case in point: he landed in Pittsburgh with a defensive minded head coach who had a strong enough offensive support system to benefit him, and his career is starting to turn around for it.    Think of our own history, did the pairing of Andrew Luck with a defensive guy like Pagano do him any favors? Not really, and in the end it’s probably a big part of the reason that story turned out the way it did.
    • Its the defense he plays in and they funnel the ball carrier to Franklin. Leonard had tons of tackles and I wouldn't make to much of it when grading Franklin. Cross, I believe leads the league in tackles. Are you saying he is the best safety in the league? Franklin is a rugged and tough line backer but poor in coverage.
    • I hear this but to my dying day I will maintain Payton far exceeded Smiths talent, and if Smith had to be on the garbage teams Payton was on for 80% of his career, he would be ranked in the 20s or 30s all time.  If Payton had Erik Williams, Larry Allen and Nate Newton blowing up d-linemen for him, he would have set the record impossibly high.    And once we add receiving and blocking ability the difference is even more stark.    Thanks, grew up watching WP… old man rant *off*
    • He is throwing some bad picks and all rookie qbs do, so I am not going to be that hard on him for those mistakes. The one thing that still impresses me is that he doesnt look lost out there. He is still making good reads but he just needs to calm down and make those simple throws. I truly believe that if he made those throws that 90% of qbs make. We would be saying he is having a pretty good year. If Richardson fails, I believe it wont be because of his ability to process. It will because after say three seasons or so, he is unable still to hit the broad side of a barn!!
