Downs has to catch it too, they did it on one play and AR threw a perfect pass to him and he dropped it.

True.  But go back to him. Pitt & Pierce aren’t winning quickly. Doesn’t seem that way anyway.

Pinter didn’t look in pain in the cart.  Hopefully he’s okay.

He looked like he was fighting back tears, till he got out of sight.

Surprised some of Richardsons down field throws didn’t connect. That is supposed to be his strong point. 35% isn’t great completion rate.

One of the reasons may be:

They will.  It was third down so that ended the drive and then they got the quick end of half drive after that I think.

So let’s say they Taylor isn’t on the opening day roster.  I think we know Moss, Jackson, and Hull all stay.  Do you keep Funk as fourth/short yardage specialist?

His SPT value is clear. Good shot.

I don't think Drake makes it.

I don’t either.  I am not sure what he gives you that the others don’t unless you just want a vet but moss and Jackson are now that.

Hopefully Moss is back week 1 or 2

Someone said this in the Bears game thread, and I just saw a perfect example of it with Minshew.  AR has to get better at quick passes, because when he was in shotgun, he was holding on to the ball for awhile.

Drake just had a great blitz pick up.  That will get him kept.

Moss was #1 pass pro back last year.

Gardner looks good as expected

Yep, he looks like what you’d expect a QB with his experience to look like vs guys who will be out of the NFL in a few days.

Minshew playing against guys that might not be in the league.  But he shreds vanilla defenses. We of all people should know that when he carved us up at like a 90% clip.

So I think the top four WRs are locks.  The other two WR spots are still WIDE open.

Are you looking to pick up a WR? You want Jalen Reagor? I'm not sure he makes the cut. He is the son of a former Colt. Interested?

Putting it on these Eagles at home.

I'll take the win in the game instead of practice.

It's still early, but looking good.

Should put Ehlinger in now. Minshew is good. Need him healthy.

Yeah Minshew is clearly ready for the season and his spot on the roster is not in question.  No point to keep him out there vs guys who won’t be in the NFL in a few days.

Honestly liked what I saw from the offense today, granted it was against backups, but at least we’re making the right play calls and AR is making the right decisions.   Some throws could’ve been better but we all know that.  AR wasn’t going to step in here and look like Andrew luck but at least he looks like someone who can get the job done and be developed.

but those wide receivers.  The drops.  I get it, AR throws a hard ball, but you get paid a lot of money to catch them.  Not liking what I’m seeing from the receivers.  Hopefully with chemistry the drops will decrease but that is very concerning.  We finally get a qb who can get the ball there but now we have receivers that can’t complete the catch.

They might try to stash Funk on practice squad

One thing to remember we are talking about what would be the fourth running back.  Odds special teams skills, which Funk has not sure about Drake, might be more important than their running back skills that deep.

I like Drake but he hasnt got much run in his time with us.

I didn't think we would be able to cut him once we brought him in. Meaning his talent would be hard to drop.

I don't think he has showed much so far, outside that TD there. It's less of what he has done, and more about what Jackson, Hull and Funk have done. Plus Moss.

Yeah but Hull has a spot locked up imo.

Right but just because Drake made a nice blitz pick up isn’t going to win him a job alone because the Colts have other guys on the roster who can do that.
