I say if he is still there we give burflict the Mr irrelevant title

Lol that would humble him real quick.

Or it could infuriate him and he doesn't show up to camp lol

He played great against SEC, had over 1,400 yards, had a bad combine 40 where he fell the first time but came back and ran a 4.5 at his pro day which makes more since after you watch tape of hime

Another WR!? I'll have to look into this guy but man, I'm starting to be concerned here. Not a single DB yet? I'd like to see us take a chance on Dennard next pick if he's there.....

Did I miss the memo that our defense has drastically improved over the off-season and has virtually no need for help from the draft?

with all of these offense picks, and just one D pick...Chapman, do you think they expect a lot of these db's dl's to go undrafted? I don't see how you can go almost completely offense...

What positions do we need? The only ones as pressing as the offensive needs we've fixed are NT and CB, but apparently Pagano likes the CBs. Keep in mind our scheme was terrible last year, not necessarily the players...

Well, still not defense, but at least Anderson is a lineman. He's got good size and reviewed well, but hopefully that injury doesn't become a concern. He sounds like a project. Hopefully he'll develop.

Since we're obviously rebuilding the team, maybe Grigson is taking a stepwise approach. Step 1, develop a powerful offense for Luck. Step 2 (next year) build a new defense. Who knows.

They w I'll test the players we have to see how they pan out. Then they will really know what our needs are. We got our NT that was absolutely necessary. We may get a CB just to push who we have.

Pagano must see something in the corners that no one else has seen over the past few years. Powers has been the only reliable starter (skillwise), but he's got injury concerns. We need safeties. Linebackers are fine. We need linemen. We can't assume that all of our old 4-3 linemen are going to transition to 3-4 linemen. It's just not going to happen.

I'm not entirely unhappy with this draft. I'm not sold on the RB pick. What role is he supposed to play? We've got Brown and Carter. Didn't we already have a fullback that played well until injury (I missed half the games b/c they started playing Bengals' games in my area). The guy is smaller than Carter for that matter and scouts say he's not that powerful. I don't see the point.

I'm also not entirely sold on Allen, but that pick doesn't upset me that bad. I still would have rather had Cordy Glenn or Ta'amu.

Lets go get a corner. Dennard or Ryan Steed.

Other BPA possibilities: DE/OLB Cam Johnson, SS Antonio Allen,

Need to end strong. DENNARD and _____________?

Dennard and Minnefield. Call it a draft. Look to sign some other DBs that go undrafted too....some that can play safety....

Who the Fug is Tim Fugger? I just dont understand it. I feel like Powers is all we have at CB........maybe were hopin that some guys go undrafted. That must be the plan.

Well, I hate to complain since we finally went defense, but Tim Fugger? A 248lb DE? Future LB or did we decide to stay 4-3...

It's kind of nice to have a draft to complain about without having to hear, "Trust in Bill Polian," "Blil Polian knows what he's doing," "Bill Polian..."

Seen where he is listed as an OLB

Wow switching between NFL network and ESPN

And ESPN is reeeeaally late with the picks. Is that on purpose by NFL so more people watch their network?

As I said in the other thread, Minnifield has a major medical red flag with his knee. He'll probably go undrafted.

    • LOL. His first year with Pagano, and Grigson's roster. He turned it over completely in 3 offseasons. His drafting has been stellar. His free agent pickups have been safe and solid. He had a slipup with the coaching fiasco, but recovered with what will go down as the best move of his career in hiring Reich and keeping Eberflus as DC.    I think 100% that this roster could win many games with Brissett under center which is far different from the first time he was put out there with a crap o-line and bad coaching staff. I also think this front office could make the necessary moves to find a franchise qb. I think Luck is what is necessary to get this team to several superbowls, but I don't think he is the end all. Bill Bellichick thinks the same about Tom Brady. He will be around well after Brady's gone and still winning a lot of football games.
    • we would obviously have another gm.  you guys are asking a hypothetical on what  we would do if ballard was gone along with everyone he brought in, and i cant assume we have decent players in their place?   i think ballard would have a hard time replacing luck if he were the one to leave, and ballards one year without luck didnt go well   luck was able to carry bad teams, coaching and front offices to the playoffs
    • i agree, Ben was elite in his prime and could have gone far with this roster built to pass to lots of different receivers    i dont think we have enough running game or defense to win one with RW.  Foles had one of the most well rounded teams in recent memory when he won.  i think he would be a good fit here though, especially with Reich    its probably a borderline playoff team with eli, the division would close
    • I'm saying a draft pick like the players given in my examples when they won their SB. Not currently today. I think Ballard could build an elite team around a drafted QB of their caliber, and that's why I lean towards Ballard in this debate. I believe we can win a SB with an average to above-average QB more likely than Luck carrying a mediocre team to a SB win.
    • "Luck and co."   What company are you referring to? The company that Ballard turned over and built in three offseasons? Yeah they'd do just fine if another gm came in and rode their coattails. Are you referring to the coaching staff as well? Yeah... Ballard hired them too.  The scouting department? Yeah, Ed Dodds, Rex Hogan, Brian Decked... all Ballard guys.    Sorry, but Luck failed to win big games with the last GM. If he can win with this one, it's because Ballard put together an actual team, front office and coaching staff to win.
