First look possible top-10 draft picks for 2024

Recommended Posts

For your consideration and discussion….

Im listing players by position:

QB

Williams

Maye

TBA

LT

Fashanu

Alt

Latham

WR

Harrison

TE

Brockers

DE

Verse

Turner

While I left room for one additional QB to make the top-10,  there may even be another QB or two who emerge for perhaps a total of 4-5.

Good list. Williams will go #1, then the other guys you have will go 2-9 more than likely. There may be 1 or 2 other players outside of what you listed that could go top 10, but that looks pretty spot on.

-----------------------------------

Regular disclaimer applies - still super early and still the evaluation of one outlet, but it seems like the draft next year will be good at QB, OT, WR, EDGE, CB... DT too...

Seems like a generally good draft early.... very highly ranked QBs and OTs and WRs...

If we pick in the Top 10, I can primarily see Ballard going OT. Outside QB, he values trenches the most.

Beyond the Top 10, it is anyone's guess, depending on how Paye and Dayo develop at DE, depending on how the young CBs develop, depending on how Granson, Ogletree and Woods develop at TE, or how Pittman and Pierce develop with AR, it can go in several directions.

Tankathon's Top 10:

1 - QB Caleb Williams USC

2 - WR Marvin Harrison JR Ohio St

3 - QB Drake Maye North Carolina

4 - OT Olu Fashanu Penn St

5 - EDGE Jared Verse Florida St

6 - TE Brock Bowers Georgia

7 - OT Joe Alt Notre Dame

8 - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry

9 - EDGE Dallas Turner Alabama

10 - WR Emeka Egbuka Ohio St

I know, I know, everybody within 100 miles of Indy wants us to draft Marvin.  Why wouldn't we?  For me, I hope we win enough games that we're in no position to do it.  I expect us to draft somewhere between 5th and 10th.  That puts is in position to take the best EDGE in the draft with Jared Verse, or one of the best Tackles in the group with Joe Alt.  We could take the best CB in the draft, but we already drafted 3 this year.  And EDGE Dallas Turner is an OLB, not a DE.

I think we'll be in a good place to get a primary player in a primary position.

My finger are crossed that our two DEs develop.

If we get average production at DE this year, and Raiman continues to shine (he still isnt fully proven yet) , I think that we HAVE to consider a stud DE with our pick (Or that WR from Ohio State)

Dorian Singer could move up the WR boards, was Pac 12 leader with 1,105 yards for Arizona and now moves to USC where he will have Williams tossing him bullets. Needs to pack on a few lbs of muscles on his frame but in a situation where he will get plenty of prime time looks.
