Mock draft time!

Time for my mock draft, this draft is how I would put one together, not how I'm predicting Ballard and company will go. First off, this draft is based on C.J. Stroud not being available at 4, if he is there we should take him. I think my trades are reasonable in value, so here we go.

  Round 1 pick 4, with Stroud off the board, we trade with the Eagles as they jump up to take Jalen Carter to shore up their run defense, we get pick 10, 30, and a 2024 2nd rounder.

  Round 1 pick 10, the Packers want to get Paris Johnson jr. so we trade back to 15 and also get 45th, 116th, and a 2024 2nd rounder.

   Round 1 pick 15, Hendon Hooker qb, Tennessee- after 2 trades the Colts land the second best qb in the draft.

  Round 1 pick 30, John Michael Schmidtz g/c, Minnesota.

   Round 2 pick 35, Trade to New Orleans for pick 40 and 115.

   Round 2 pick 40, Jack Campbell lb, Iowa.

   Round 2 pick 45, Julious Brents cb, Kansas St.

   Round 3 pick 79, Keanuu Benton dt, Wisconsin.

   Round 4 pick 106, Jayden Reed wr, Michigan St.

   Round 4 pick 115, Darius Rush cb, South Carolina.

   Round 4 pick 116, Braeden Daniels ol, Utah.

   Round 5 pick 138, Trey Palmer wr, Nebraska.

   Round 5 pick 162, Isiah Land de, Florida A&M.

   Round 5 pick 176, Jason Taylor II s, Oklahoma St.

   Round 7 pick 221, Tyreque Jones s, Boise St.

   Round 7 pick 236, Jake Andrews g/c, Troy. 

There it is, with 3 trades we picked up 4 additional picks this year and 2 2024 2nd rounders. Hooker should be ready to play this year, but I'll say it again, I really hope we can get Stroud. Comments, ridicule, and laughter are welcome as always, thank you and have a great day everyone!

I like Brent's and Rush. I would prefer Darnell Washington over Campbell at 40.

I’m not trying to be snarky….. but the sheer number of trades in your mock would set a record and then some. Thanks for doing this though. I know it takes work.

Hendon Hooker is nowhere near the 2nd best QB in the draft

In his mock, Hooker is 5th QB taken.

 

At 15 I wouldn't take a QB. At that point I would take Porter and take McKee with your Rush pick, eventhough I really like Rush. Porter, Brents combo would be nice year 2.
