Getting better at safety

 IMO Thomas is our only worthwhile Safety. 

Seahawks withdrew the restricted free agent tender from S Ryan Neal.

Neal is now a free agent. The team tendered Neal on March 15 after a 2022 season in which the former undrafted free agent recorded 66 tackles and eight defended passes. Neal, who spent the past four seasons with Seattle, will likely have a few suitors in the coming days.

They traded up to get Cross last year and they think a lot of Blackmon.  It isn’t happening.

I assume they will sign a veteran to compete for the starting roles similar to last year. 
 

We tend to ALWAYS struggle with keeping our safeties healthy too.

I wouldn't mind McCleod coming back

I’m actually shocked they didn’t bring him back. He was the best safety last year.

I agree. Perhaps it’s because they want the youngsters to become full time starters, but McLeod was one of Ballard’s best free agent finds. I’d re-sign him if he’s willing.

Im on Team McCloud as well.   But he may be looking for a team where he might still be getting playing time and not just being a backup.    I’m hoping the Colts are McCloud’s backup plan.  
 

The Colts could still sign him in April or even in May after the draft.

I’m all for it. He’s super smart, good reaction to plays. Was a bright spot for us last season.
