Colts Draft Visit Thread (Formal & Informal)

Recommended Posts

With the beginning of several College All-Star games starting this evening with the East-West Shrine Bowl, teams have already started the process of meeting informally with participating players. Teams are allowed to meet informally with participating players in between practices. Later this week will be the Senior Bowl (2/4/23). The HBCU Legacy Bowl will take place on (2/25/23) just days before the 2023 NFL Combine kicks off in Indianapolis (2/28-3/6). Starting (3/7) teams are permitted to host 30 draft-eligible, non-local players for physical exams/visits until April 19. The teams will later be able to host additional draft-eligible players at their individual facilities on their Local Draft Day. Also beginning March 7, teams are allowed to begin video or telephone interviews with draft-eligible players. The individual Pro Day schedule can begin on (3/7) as well. The NFL Draft will take place this year in Kansas City, Missouri (4/27-4/29).

This is a Ballard edge rusher built in a lab. Knowing his tape I’d say there’s like an 80% chance we draft him lol. He’s this year’s Alec Pierce.

After his combine, I don’t see Yaya leaving my mock draft for the rest of the draft season…

He’s a monster would fit well as RG or RT if he can beat out Smith

I confess I have zero interest in an O-lineman who is 6’8” and 375.   Hrs a pure RT.

Then again, the Eagles LT is 6’8” and 365. But the big kid from New Zealand is a much better athlete.

Perhaps this is a Steichen influence?

I have to be honest, after last year's O-line performance, I don't care what size they are as long as they protect the QB better. The NFL linemen seem to get bigger every year.

That red mark for the weight of Keion White is strange.

285 for a DL who is 6’5” and has potential in either a 3-4 system or 4-3 is a perfectly appropriate weight.   Not hard to put on or take off any pounds.   And even if you preferred a little more or less,  they could have given him a yellow grade.   But red?    Huh?    Strange.

Doesn’t add up to me at all.

I think the color designation is automatic for the position specified. He's designated as a DT here so he's in teh 24th percentile of weight for DT. If you put him in the DE category he will be green there.
