What is a running QB?  Hurts did not throw enough for you?

Makes no sense.

Throw enough?

Take a look at the game status. Hurts had half the teams rushing attempts. That's putrid.

I'm not that big of a college football fan.

We were looking at an insanely exciting ending to a Super Bowl. Eagles driving down with time clicking away. Instead, a sideline judge who couldn’t even see the infraction throws a flag.

What a let down. Still. Happy for Andy Reid.

Right call but bad time to do it

Ref who threw the flag wasn’t even in position to see it. It was a bad flag.

f the colts get a pocket passer the offense will change

And, as stated, this is what I'll hope for. I don't mind mobile QB (in the pocket, and run a couple of times a game), I just don't want a running QB.

That second half eagles defense was very Colt like.. Lol... Total breakdowns several times...eessshh

Was it a Vic Fangio type defense? I read that the Eagles signed Fangio to a two-week contract to help them with their defense against the Chiefs.

It sets a bad precedent. JMO

Twice… they got that magical 5th down back in the AFCCG too

Yeah I try not to be a tinfoil hat guy, but there's times in sports where I feel the refs try to tip the scales a certain way.

The Eagles don't seem to do anything offensively unless Hurts is running, and I hate that offense.

I'll try to concentrate on his work with Rivers, and Herbert, instead.

I also REALLY hope he gives up play calling anyway.

The Eagles offense is effective, but I think I would get bored watching a carbon copy of it.

Good. Screw Philly fans.

I hate the eagles fans. I hate the chief fans, both are almost as bad as Patriot fans.

that said, we got robbed of a historic final drive of a classic game thanks to a bogus flag

Same. Can’t deny this one though. I’d also point out the overturned catch earlier in the game too

The problem is when you have things like this happen, it adds fuel to the fire.

At nothing else, the NFL needs to have someone that can overrule these types of situations.

I think they did bring him in to help out for this game. Shocking how they had complete breakdowns on several plays. Like nuclear meltdown type plays.

its hard to judge without knowing the play calls .   are they designing runs or is hurts just running after his first read is not open .  shane runs a offense very similar to frank and doug peterson .   we saw rivers in the offense and trevor .   the offense is fine the reason the colts struggled was the offensive line play and horrible QB play along with wrs who cant get much separation

Mahomes was amazing tonight as was Hurts.

Biggest play of the game IMO (outside of the defensive holding call on 3rd down) was the Mahomes scramble for 20+ yards right before the 2 min warning.  His ankle was clearly an issue, but the fact that he still could make that play after being a pretty much a pocket, quick rhythm passer for much of the game illustrates the importance of having a true running threat at QB in the modern NFL.

Hurts threw plenty (yards or not), but they ran him too much.

That’s what makes that offense good. That’s why it is so unpredictable. Imagine getting a QB that can do those things and having Taylor in the back field. We would be unstoppable. Now I don’t know if we will get one like hurts but I think Levis and Richardson can do similar things.

I agree. Also something like the Suh penalty if you remember early in the game. That wasn't even close to hands to the face, it was FULL JERSEY he had a hold of.

Always hate those terrible penalties that clearly show there wasn't a foul, but they just move on like it's ok.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Chiefs won it, Mahomes won it.

I watched the first possession, Eagles went up 7-0, stopped watching. Then my daughter turned it on a tad prematurely for Rihanna's half time show after the first half and I saw 21-14 Eagles. I said screw it, no way am I watching the Chiefs get creamed.

I turned it off. Just saw on ESPN ticker that the Chiefs won 38-35. I did everything right to reverse jinx the team I wanted to win all along, the Chiefs, Mahomes. I could not be happier.

Now, I go back to watch the SB in rewind now as to how it happened. I just have bad mojo for the teams I really really want to see win, so I do everything to not jinx them, it goes across sports. Sorry, this has followed me across sports, stopped watching Argentina-France after the 2-2 equalizer from Mbappe because I wanted MESSI to win SO BAD. Then I turned on to see the news Argentina won.

    • Or... Alec, I'll take getting not upset if another team took you off our hands for $1000 worth of 's.
    • Although it's still too early to say a whole lot on him..but there is a noticable difference between how the team is playing this year verses last year. Pretty impressive job so far.
    • Ok, that might explain this game.  I don't recall if they were designed runs or not.   I would think that a 20 yard scramble after the oline gave up a bad pass rush would still be categorized as bad pass blocking, and not necessarily help the run game grade (obviously not good run blocking since it was a pass play).    Its a point I'm tossing around.  If a QB gets a lot of positive yards by scrambling, is that really a good thing.....if its the result of his bad passing game skills?  Its logged as rushing yards and a ypc stat.
    • His D was never good till he got bounty hunter Gregg Williams, who wasn't a bad DC, just a dirty shot orchestrator.
    • Lions at Packers (can Love win 2 games in a row at home?) Falcons vs Jaguars (Ridley revenge game in London?? Jaguars have great record playing in London) Dolphins at Bills (toss up, IMO, because Bills D plays better at home)   Vikings at Panthers (will Cousins get traded to Jets by end of week?)   Broncos at Bears (early season Toilet Bowl?? Both teams have gone from OK to bad/worse from last season.) Ravens at Browns (Browns D has been statistically very good) Steelers at Texans (bad matchup for Stroud's playing style vs pressure) Rams at Colts (will Rams' starter OL injuries keep them out?) Buccaneers at Saints (Carr's injury led to Packers comeback from down 0-17 to 18-17, will he play?) Commanders at Eagles (more feasting for Eagles) Bengals at Titans (a place where Burrow and the Bengals play well) Raiders at Chargers (we will see which team has more fans) Patriots at Cowboys (feel good comeback game for Cowboys??) Cardinals at 49ers (no more taking Cardinals for granted after Cowboys win, 49ers will be ready) Chiefs at Jets (maybe Cousins is traded to Jets for Jets to save face??) Seahawks at Giants (this is what you get when you invest in mediocrity, Mr. Jones)
