It's my understanding that his dismissal was as a result of the AJ Brown trade.

Probably because Vrabel wants full control of the roster and the organization knows their offense is a weakness which is what holding them from being a contender. Maybe, they'd like to get a qb like Hooker and try to switch to him by end of next season, see if they can become a better offense. 

 

I guess it's Vrabel's time now to take control of the roster and try to prove that they can do more than being a playoff team every year.
