I heard they were at a bar, Harbaugh was drunk and mouthed off to Kelly and punched him and then Kelly pretty much took care of business lmao .

Nope. Jim Harbaugh used to have a really bad temper. And he would not let anything go. Harbaugh was a lot like Mike Ditka. That relationship had a lot of meaning to Jim. The below article is 100% true. :D

Not what happened from what I understand.  The fight happened in a NBC production meeting. Harbaugh broke his hand on Kelly's face. Harbaugh missed a month while Kelly had to cancel his TV appearance.

I had people tell me they were at a bar in Indy after a game. I guess not. Thanks for the info.

What a difference between Jim and John. My favorite head coach is John Harbaugh.

Btw, I don't know why I thought Mike Kafka was a recent grad of the Miami Hurricanes and was drafted by the Lions. But I read he is 35 and graduated from Northwestern. He must be smart. Hire Kafka -- he has the smarts and the experience.

I still love Jim, he is a good coach and I met him in person and he treated me well.

Just think. If Harbaugh doesn’t punch Jim Kelly and break his hand… The Colts probably don’t lose enough games to draft Peyton Manning.

I want to thank Jim Kelly for having a steel jaw lmao

I just read this article.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35119886/david-shaw-resigns-12-seasons-stanford-football-hc?platform=amp

I don’t know why all of us Colts fans reach for anything that would bring Andrew Luck back… But I have to admit the first thing I thought was, what if the Colts hired Shaw and he convinced Luck to come back to football. Count me in as guilty to wish for this, even though it is not likely.

Before anyone calls me delusional, read this next sentence several times. I doubt this will happen, but crazier things have happened.

From the article; “I am not burnt out," he said. "I'm healthy; I feel good. But 16 years is a long time. ... Sixteen years of running a program, 16 years of being responsible for everything and everybody catches up to you."

Sounds to me like he wants a fresh environment. Luck or no Luck; he might be in the running as the next Colts head coach.

Luck isn’t coming back.

I am not sure I want Shaw as a NFL Head Coach, generally speaking the track record of coaches jumping from college to the pros isn’t that good.

Good grief.

What part of “Before anyone calls me delusional, read this next sentence several times. I doubt this will happen, but crazier things have happened.”, could I be more clear about?

If there is any way for me to be clearer about how I preface anything in the future then please feel free to let me know.

Thanks.

Football Wtf GIF by Indianapolis Colts- lmao

Can we please now stop with the nonsense talk that we should have stuck with Wentz another year ?

The big mistake was trading for Wentz to begin with, not letting him play another year.

Getting rid of wentz was the one call that Irsay and Ballard got right

The tunnel vision in this board is amazing sometimes. You’re ability to narrow in on a single point and not let any other part of the conversation disturb your thought process is absolutely incredible!

I love Luck, Andrew that is. Any talk of Luck is music to these ears.  (I know he is not coming back but I love everything he stands for and how he played. I love Dungy too.)

What about Trevor Siemian (spelling?) ?  I read he started today.

If Andrew Luck ever came back… This board would break. The increased traffic would shut it down. We would all see “page cannot be displayed”. :D

I love Buckner. Glad we have him.

But if was running the Colts in 2020, we would have moved up and drafted Herbert. Justin Herbert was my number 1 ranked player. I would have gladly gave away 2 extra first round picks to get there.

This is a joke…

I preface THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS A JOKE…

Read the above as many times as it takes.

Mike White is putting Zach Wilson on the off-season trading block. :D

Dude is tearing it up, again! The Jets would be crazy to go away from Mike White again.

Many thought Herbert was a bit too much like Luck. Some feared that he would quit football too, as he too has lots of interests outside of football.

Super NO on Shaw...

Shaw won with the program Jimmy built, and has been super meh and the team has declined the last 6-7 years.

Don't blame Shaw much, as Stanford's fanbase is one of the worst in the nation. And the admin doesn't care much about football. Rumor the last 2 years is that the Admin wanted go younger/cheaper anyway. IIRC, they wanted DeBoer last year before WA scooped him up.

my take is that if he's tired of football, why would we want him to do more football?

Wouldn't doubt it, but he did say he's not burnt out. Stanford is not a "fun" destination for coaches... lol.

His alumni love only goes far..... Playing for empty stadiums and recruiting with their academic requirements, has to suck.

yeah, im not very educated on the college football realm, it just gives the vibe of tired of football. of course the NFL is a little more attractive, but the Colts won't be the most attractive destination either with all the question marks surrounding us.
