How on earth did the Steelers score a 2nd rounder for Claypool? Bears way overpaid there.

Before we traded for Hockenson, Vikings fans were hoping to trade for Claypool or Brandin Cooks. I did not want Cooks -- he has played with at least 3, maybe 4 teams. I think we made out well with Hockenson.

The biggest trade - in my humble opinion - was for Bradley Chubb by the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins also picked up a former Mike McDaniels offensive player in Jeff Wilson.

The Dolphins draft cupboard is nearly depleted.

No different than what the Rams did. The Rams did score a SB out of it, and now they may not make the playoffs with their LT Whitworth who retired, OL issues, and Cooper Kupp possibly banged up.

    • Nelson is still the best and when fully healthy JT is a close second. If AR finishes strong this season and improves this offseason he has a good chance becoming the best player on the team.
    • Yeah…    sums it up entirely:   “Some players also want the team to add a sauna”
    • More great stuff from NFL films, this time taking a look at Tom Moore. Some really fun stuff in here from Peyton on that Colts era with Tom.    “Just run whatever the **** you and Marvin have been working on.” 🤣
    • I don't know whether he's declining. It's possible, but what I see is him being patient because our run blocking scheme has a lot of moving parts. And the blocking isn't always performing as designed, nor are they winning their assignments consistently enough. I still see JT making defenders miss, explosive jump cuts, etc. We've seen him get in the open a couple times this year, and he still looks like he has the long speed. There just hasn't been a lot of room for him to get going.   Regarding being a marginal pass catcher, I guess my question is whether there's a better option on the roster. I don't think any of our other backs are better than JT at any of the RB responsibilities, so who are they taking him off the field for? In fact, our primary pass catchers aren't catching the ball at the level we need them to, so singling out JT and his two drops from earlier in the season seems convenient. He just made a nice catch on a difficult ball against the Pats. The idea that his hands are deficient just doesn't track for me. No, he's not the best pass catcher in the world, nor is he the best blocker, but I don't think he should be iced in the second half, and that's happened multiple times this season.
    • Like I said, it’s just a fun topic but imagine if people were paid a lower base  salary, but they were debited or credited based upon their play. That’s what I’m talking about. There is no way this would never fly with the players association, but I wish every major league sport would do something like this. He would lower the cost dramatically and you would seem much much better play.
