I don't think he's all that but it's amazing how poorly teams get compensated in trades. But it was a bad situation for the Panthers, he was (is) a piece of you know what they had to unload, so I guess get what you can.

My daughter went to high school with him and according to her he’s always been a thug, punk ——, piece of you know what.

If you want a team to take a bad contract, you are not going to get much in return with draft equity

I just read where the Dolphins are open to trading TE Mike Gesicki.  We all know Reich loves his pass catching TE's.  Gesicki is barely playing under the new coach as their new offense isn't a fit for him.  Granson and Cox are okay and Woods has potential but they are not Gesicki.  Maybe they would take one of our TE's and a second for him.  He's currently playing under the Franchise tag.   He's a great TE and he's young.  Added to our current group of young receivers we would have one heck of a pass catching offense to team with Taylor.   Another way to think about boosting the offense and improve the team at the trade deadline.

I would love to get TE Mike Gesicki somehow.  A real playmaker in the right offense.  Another article today saying the Dolphins are listening to offers.  A Kenny Moore trade for Gesicki straight up is doable for both teams cap wise.  Both 27 years old.  Dolphins are looking for some defensive help.  We know Kenny is not happy.  I would love to see something like this go down.  A win win for both teams I think.

it would make for allot of TE's on the team.   Cox, Granson, Woods and Ogletree are all TE's the Colts see lots of potential in.   I'm not high on Granson but I am on Ogletree.  I think he and Woods can be the TE's of the future for this team.

I understand the potential argument but Reich and Ballard are expected to win now with this team.  Gesicki is far better than any of them right now.  Our other TE’s can still develop behind him.  We could include Granson in the package if necessary so they have a TE to replace Gesicki.  Teams would now have to game plan for a weapon like Gesicki.  Another proven playmaker added to the Colts offense.  Potential is fine but adding Gesicki would really give our offense an additional experienced receiver.  A Dallas Clark clone if you will.

I suppose you could throw them Moore with one of our current TEs, or a late pick and they'd probably consider. Will it happen though? Perhaps!

Ballard usually doesn't do middle of the season trades, but the future is meant to break trends right?
