Too many people giving up on Matt Ryan IMO. Lets see what happens when he plays the Jags and Tennessee again, if he stinks it up there than people have a point. This isn't a 5 game season and we are 2-2-1 which is respectable. We all know with Wentz we would be worse with the way Taylor has played. Taylor was Superman last year which helped Wentz be efficient at times and look good at times. Ryan has not had that at all with the exception of the Houston game where Taylor was great in the 2nd half.

Since you mention Wentz one of his strengths is how hard he is to bring down and his ability to buy time with his feet.  So with that plus his arm defenses fear his deep ball and that is beneficial to a ground game.  Safeties have to think defensively with that deep part of the field vs him.  Teams know to sit back and just wait for him to put up poor throws and no coach has been able to get him to play with enough discipline to force a change on that.

Ryan's advantage over Wentz is he should be capable of being a high efficiency game manager if/when they protect him.  Still waiting for that unfortunately but there is every reason to think the protections will improve and every reason to think Ryan can run this offense.  We don't need Aaron Rodgers here.  Just a game manager who can efficiently distribute the ball and occasionally make teams pay when they creep up in the box.  What he cannot do is turn the ball over because with that type of offense you won't have the explosive play ability that can overcome changes in momentum.

Model is basically the 9ers there.  Defense.  Field position.  Balanced offense.  Control the game and slowly beat teams to death.

I watched the Tampa game this weekend. Look at how much protection Brady has and compare that with the Colts this season. He still gets hurried here and there but he also has time for plays to develop more often than not.

Yep....Ballards's OL is going to get our QBs killed.
