Expecting a blowout but colts do seem to play up or down to competition so maybe i am wrong. Still exciting, still tune in every week. Losing is a part of being a sports fan. Honestly if we continue to lose its exciting in its own way cause that could mean changes on the horizon or high draft picks.

I said 1. Cause I had tickets to the game and had to give them away.

But on the other hand Colts I think are going to win and I still get upset even more if they do. They faced 2 weaker teams before and tie on one and got smoked on the next..

Going to be same ole Colts seasons, making a push for playoffs and if they do make playoffs one and done..

I pray and wish that I'm wrong but time as shown differently..

GO COLTS!!!!!

Easily a 1. We've had a large enough sample size with Ballard and Reich to now know this isn't just an exception to the rule. This is the norm. We won't put up 0 points again because Pittman and Pierce are back, so the offense will probably put up 10 points or so, but I have no interest in watching this team get beat by 3 TDs by a vastly superior QB when our GM is just getting band-aids at QB for us.

It also seems every QB that is on another team that was with us is doing better or got worse here under Reich. That's not to mention I know there will be some stupid playcalling that will handicap us even worse in an already difficult game. I went to the casino today and tripled my money in a poker tourney ($50 to $150). I may go back and try to do the same tomorrow after setting my fantasy lineups.

There comes a time when you have to say enough is enough. I'm doing that with this team until Reich is fired (and I'm hoping Ballard too). They want to always be the smartest guys in the room, even if it goes against conventional wisdom. I love this team and will always be a fan, but I'm not married to it. I don't have an obligation to watch every week. They aren't my family or friends.

Hoping for a miracle, but i won't watch this week to find out.

If they do win, are you satisfied?

Just asking and wanting to know Colt fan opinions.

I'm not satisfied and more mad, cause they tie Texans and lost big time too Jags. Another come from behind season just to break Colt fans hearts at season end...

I know this wasn’t directed at me but no I won’t be satisfied and won’t forget these two games. They will still have a ton to prove even if they win.

It would probably take a lot to satisfy me at this point. Reich would have to show me he has learned from his mistakes and that he can handle playcalling and not make stupid mistakes. One game isn't enough to convince me. I'd want to see some creativity with Hines and Campbell, and maybe use Elingher a bit. Also include the TEs a bit more.

Would not be shocked if Indy won this week.

Regardless, would still be unhappy with the total "situation".... A win over KC doesn't erase two horrible games. I'd still expect inconsistency the rest of year.

I don't see the spots changing.

Agreed. They are both stubborn to a fault. No one will tell them otherwise either. Reich has all his friends and yes men surrounding him that won't challenge him and his playcalling, and Ballard is the GM and no one will tell him otherwise. At this point, we just need a fresh change at both GM and coach.

Nothing on this team is going to change with Ballard as the GM and Reich coaching along with all these assistants who don’t know what they are  doing. That’s why I won’t care if they win. Unless they ended up winning the SB I don’t care if they win ten games I want everyone gone.

I'm willing too give chance if close to SB but this team isn't close and I'm cool with it and will keep complaining about it.

This team is the same Colts team we have had and it's not going to change until new GM and Coach... Owner needs to realize it..

I thank you for your post..

Agreed. An overhaul is needed. Everyone gone from the organization (whether released or taken by other teams) seems to be doing better. I fully blame Ballard and Reich now for this team and its current state. The WR gamble failed, and both have huge egos (Ballard is too stubborn to change philosophies and Reich won't give up playcalling).

They have made me stop caring about a team I've loved since I was 10 years old.

In fairness, we don't really know about the Reich-Ballard relationship, or even the Reich-Ballard-Irsay relationship.

To me... it appears mostly a partnership (Reich and Ballard) by design (by Irsay), not a Ballard being boss relationship.

I look at it as a boss and boss situation.

They both suck right now and been sucking! lol

I can only guess... but...

Irsay drove Reich's extension (not needed), so orders to Ballard (from Irsay) is to give Reich what he asks...

I see that and respect what you think.

I also seeing Ballard getting Reich as coach keeping him floating even as the W-L column figure.

I'm sorry if it offends you that I'm not bought on Ballard or Frank. Sometimes Irsay.

Whoever found Tyreek Hill, Cooper Kupp, Mike Evans, Stefon Diggs, Ja Mar Chase, Justin Jeffereson, Devante Adams and Etc..

Them are the scouts Colts need... This is a passing favorite league that WRs can get open on their own without a scheme play cause they're just that good.

So many teams have more than one elite WR and more than averaged TE... Points win games, WRs, TEs and good QB play.

We IMO got too much money invested in other aeras and Ballard will never put money into pass catchers that I think win games these days. JMO

I am playing day 2 of a golf tourney that is going well at this point. I am recording the game and hoping no one tells me the outcome before I get to watch.

I'm not happy with how they are playing so far, but as a fan I am always excited at the beginning of a Colts game anyhow.

Voted 4 since I am not watching live.

    • Hey, Tom!    Good to see you posting again!    I know you like to show up this time of year to offer your insight.      As I like to tell you every year, I’m sure you’re posting as often as you can,  but I think many here would love to see you post more often!   This website is always better when you’re posting more!
    • We, might... or we might not... or we might lose someone else to injury. It's just what happens in the league. If it's not one player it will be another. It's a violent sport and players will miss games.  You know how I feel about AR. I still think he needs improvements but the sky is the limit with him... I don't think there was anybody higher on him than me here. But first thing - he just needs to stay healthy.    Downs had a very promising rookie season. Hope he makes a jump in year 2 too...  Honestly. I'm not high on this TE group. The rumors about Woods are not great. Ogletree and Mallory IMO are JAGs at best. Which is OK for where they were drafted but they are not game changers. We need better... I guess if you believe in Brock Bowers we should be hoping he's there for us to take in the draft.  Cross will need to make the jump because it looks like we might be losing Blackmon. He had some flashes at the end of the year, but he still needs to show consistency over a prolonged period of time. I think Raimann is already very good. I'm not too enthused with the way Ballard has handled the DT position...    Steichen was already doing wonders with what he was given last year. IMO the hope is that AR stays healthy and is able to unlock the full potential of what Steichen envisions in his offense.
    • I think I need to clarify something…,  I’m NOT suggesting Irsay isn’t filthy rich.  That the Colts aren’t sound financially.     All I’m saying is that from time to time the Colts might have cash flow problems.  Life as a small market team.   Nothing wrong with that.  The Colts do this (The “0” singing bonus) for a reason.  It benefits them.  And I think it’s smart business.   That’s all.
    • I don't believe any of this post-hoc spin. He took less to play home. And even if we did believe it - OK... he did take less. What about the 100 other FAs we could have gotten?      This is exactly it... it feels like Ballard is not proactive... he's grabbing to the status quo and holding onto it for dear life. Like the status quo has actually given us anything to brag about? The Texans let go of one of their best defensive linemen... to replace him with a better one. The Chiefs let go of one of their best receivers... to replace him a better one... Those are teams that are not happy with what they had(and they were better than us) and tried to actually improve. Could that backfire? Sure. But at least they are trying to compete. What are we trying for?    I wasn't the biggest fan of the idea of giving record setting contract to Sneed while also giving up significant draft compensation too. IMO you should only do that for elite players and as good as Sneed is IMO he's not quite at that level. But with that said -yes, there aren't many high level FAs remaining on the market. Because while other teams were busy chasing the high level FAs, Ballard was busy giving 14M contract to a backup nose tackle and resigning his PED implicated 31 year old starting nose tackle 40M contract.  I wouldn't hold my breath quite honestly. With the OL there was precedent of them being great previously. With this DL there really hasn't been. We've been at the bottom of the league in creating pressures and affecting the QB for years. And the personnel will be the same more or less. A lot of people putting a lot of hope into the new DL coach. I liked that hire too, but you have to give the guy something to work with and apart from Buckner the rest of the group has never been more than... solid, and in a lot of cases much less than solid.    Yep... it always comes back to this... hoping our draft picks will pan out. The problem with that of course is that over the long term most teams in the league have about the same success rate in the draft. And while other teams use all avenues to improve their team(draft, trades, FA), it seems like Ballard has resigned himself to the draft. He will draft and live or die by it. He's just too stuck in his ways and too stubborn to make any significant changes to his approach.  That's the problem with Ballard. It's never exactly doom and gloom. I am never worried with him that this team will be horrible and hopeless. I worry that it will be mediocre... forever! Which it has been. He gives you just enough hope for your to think "maybe this year... maybe this guy will get better... maybe this draft pick will pan out", but in reality we are just treading water.    Yeah, Sneed could have been good for this defense... oh well...
    • He turned out to be very good, but at the time of the pick, I thought we could have selected other players, as we were in desperate need of defensive players. But Addison played very well, better than I expected.
