Matt lost his confidence with these young receivers. Last night and this weekend you saw top draft rookie WR catching the balls in difficult situations, yet Pierce dropped one in the endzone. I say throw the short stuff and design the plays so that the WR has to get seperation. If they can't get seperation over the short route, they can't get seperation with the deep routes because they have to deal with the safeties.

The Colts screwed themselves by not only not fixing their bad pass protection from last season but letting it get worse. And by adding a less mobile quarterback to exacerbate the problem. And by not only not fixing their deficiency at wr, but lettinh it get worse. And they're worse at te, too, without Doyle.

 

But sure, they're going to turn it around and put themselves in position for a playoff run. Sure.
