@Nickster appreciate your honesty lol

Here’s my thinking.  People forget that Carson Wentz has an excellent QBR for us last year.  9th overall.  This despite his two worse QBR scores v. JAx .  Somewhere in the mid 20s at home and a 5 spot in the season ender.

I thought we would boat race Hou after beating them 62-3 last year.  I know you love that one dude but we manhandled HOu and got manhandled by JAx.  For whatever reason their front 7 seems a bad match for our guys.  Couldn’t name off the top of my head a single guy they’ve got on D, but I watched them bully us at LOS and then we all saw the January debacle.

after watching how we performed v HOu I think we are in trouble v JAx from a physical standpoint.

Detroit are knee cap biters but their D isn’t very good.  Wash IMO clearly has better pass catchers across the board than us.

even though I could see us winning v JAx and Wash losing, I think Wentz is in a more enviable position than Ryan this week.

I thought we’d cruise v. Texans but saw this Sunday as a struggle before the season started.

I  don’t thunk Wentz will have to throw as much v. Det than he did v. JAx.  JAx is good v  the run.

our oline will likely struggle Sunday.  So I see Wentz scoring better in QBR than Ryan while needing t throw for less yards.

I don’t see any evidence as to why Ryan would look better v. JAx than Wentz does at det.

do you?  Other than we don’t like Wentz?

And he looks better vs Jax this year... wonder? lol.

Said coaching lol... Still same opinion.

No excuses this year.

IDK...

Our WRs looked good. Our OL is improved. Again, tired of excuses. Our OL is better. Our RB is better.

IMO, Detroit will score, so Wentz will again pass.

IMO, our OL will be better. Our L side was already good. Our R side needs a better week. Smith will go against a good DE again...

I voted Ryan/Colts... We easily have a better roster (both sides).

WA's WRs are good, but I think our WRs are good too.

Our D is easily better.

  1. Better in W2 (team - general)
    • Both Ls, but WA was easily better. Wentz almost brought them back again.
  2. Better QBR in W2
    • QBR not available yet, but Wentz easily better.
    • In passer rating, Wentz was 99.7 vs Ryan 34.0
  3. Most Passing Yards in W2
    • Wentz 337 vs Ryan 195
  4. TDs/INTs
    • Wentz 3/1 vs 0/3

Saw on SI.... article on Indy - can't blame Wentz now... lol

I feel sorry for our last 3 QBs... Rivers, Ryan, and Wentz. Especially now for Ryan.

What if behind the curtain Wentz knew this team is QB killer after Matt Hasselbeck, Andrew Luck, Rivers maybe his number is next ask for trade which * Irsay off? After seeing Ryan run for his life today I saw Deja Vu with Luck and we supposedly have better OL than Grigson era.

I know Rivers was gonna retire but just saying haha

Actually I think Rivers wanted to play more. He even mentioned playing after HS FB season.

    • his reaction to 5, but specifically 6 qbs going through 15 tells me they have 8 or 9 guys they consider premium players.  go back to 2018 draft and he identified premium players as game changing, teams game planning against through the week players. And identified 8 non qb players that year, obviously Q being one of them. I think about those comments a lot, especially when he traded away for Buck. I say there is 8- possibly 9 premium non qb players on the colts board. If one is there at 15, that’s who they take. If not, you can bet it’s a trade back.
    • good interview with Rich Eisen today.     Talks about fantasy world of getting Harrison.
    • Do u ever get there is any sense of urgency with Ballard when he speaks bout the team? I hear a lot of I think they should. He just comes across like a guy who feels that he is safe as long as Irsay is the owner. Smooth talker, I guess, and I tire of the soft ball questions from the media. Your team was like at the bottom of the league and that was against horrendous qb play.  Your 2nd round pick corner couldn't stay healthy. Your other corners are late round picks and one coming back from serious injury. I know it's a presser and he can't give it away but man, you would think his defense is just peachy. I honestly think this D needs so much work both schematically and on the talent side. I do think listening to him, he will trade back. I think that the guys that he really covets will be gone or way too expensive. The  top 3 wrs will be gone as will be Bowers. Mitchell is probably not his guy the Dends will go fast. There might be a guy at say 12 but I think he won't pill the trigger and say give  up a 2nd or 3r rounder.
    • I see most of this forum is fine with Ballard doing what Ballard's always done.   So I'll just remind everybody that he is 54-60-1 and he doesn't have the QB excuse anymore. If he thinks that playing conservative with trading back for more picks and the cap are always the way to go, then I just hope the fan base, and Irsay especially, make no excuses for how those picks work out (and how the top prospects that he didn't make moves for worked out). It's going to be incredibly easy to compare how his strategy works vs what the Texans and Jags have done in FA this year, and it'll be very easy to follow how MHJ,Nabers,Odunze and Bowers perform.
