Brett Kern an option at punter for Colts?

He put...absolutely without a quiver of doubt the BEST possible performance he could under the circumstances (being recently released and signed) and he proved himself to be worthy to carry the torch into game one and beyond for sure.

   McAfee praised Kern and said he loved what Haack did but Kern was definitely “the man”.

Problem is: Kern is getting 3.2 mil and may have been released, due to the cap hit.

    Kern may be solid but Rigo should be good to go next year so, I don’t think it would be a good move for a year’s worth of security.

Kudos to Barkley,never even practiced punting they asked him pre game and he held his own for the night. 4 punts for 40.0 avg.
