When it comes down to these contracts, players are like commodities, and you have to get to the crux of the value or esle the buyer gets burned. There is a big difference in QBs that live on out of structure passing plays, and QBs that live on out of structure scrambles...getting yards through the air or getting yards on the ground. Rogers, Mahomes, and Allen get their out of structure yards via the air. LJ, DW, Murray, and to a degree Hurts get their out of structure yards via the ground. And in the NFL, passing is more highly valued than running...by a lot. So comparing LJ to Rogers, Mahomes, or Allen is like comparing a Corn Future to a Soybean Future.. And then there is the possibility that GMs who signed Murray and DW didn't understand what they were really buying, ..and overpaid for the value they were getting. Yep, they overpaid Murray and DW. BAL has always been a smart FO, and they aren't doing that.

Will everyone has an opinion. Sounds like you like Levis which is fine. I can have the same logic you have though and say it makes me laugh when people say Bryce Young won't be a good PRO because of his size. That is just an opinion which makes me laugh by the way and nothing factual about it -
Again, Watson got way more unreasonable money and Murray's was signed after that. Unreasonable has levels but the market dictates it and the teams have to see the value in doing so with the player. Lamar now has 2 contracts to base his negotiation on. Then, Aaron Rodgers had a 3 year $150 mil. contract, all of it eventually guaranteed https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/aaron-rodgers-3745/ So, Lamar, given his age, closer to Watson and Murray, is not way off by any means expecting $200 million guaranteed over the course of his contract. The market values actually support him reasonably. Just that an all guaranteed contract is out of question. What you and I think are unreasonable doesn't matter at all.

The NFL defines a dropped pass as a catch a receiver should have made with ORDINARY effort(sorry for caps). There are quite a few a true #1 would have come up/down with and he just doesn't. Better to get the 1st than overpay him. -
That scenario sounds like our 2022 season after Matt Ryan didn’t work out. Sam should have had the 2nd half of the season to prove if he has any potential, but Jeff Saturday threw that opportunity away.
