One and one-half years after the poop hit the fan Watson issues an apology oddly, right after hearing the league is looking at one year. A good man? Right.

He still doesn't know how to say he's sorry.

I think the NFL will lose its audience, and eventually go out of business.

(I lost count of all the other weekend 'incidents')

That would take an epic collapse of major historic levels

I don't think there is any chance of the NFL losing it's audience.  Will never happen.   I know many animal lovers who still watch it even after the league allowed a guy to play (Vick) who did some cruel things to dogs.

Most weekend seats were empty.

Pittsburgh had a small audience.

Jacksonville had a few observers, mostly to chant derisive comments.

It’s preseason not like there’s a big following.

besides, most of the moment comes via TV viewership.

Welcome to pre-season football.  Also no one has gone to Jags games for years and it hasn’t hurt the NFL one bit.  They aren’t exactly your best case study on this.

    • Even with Julio Jones in his prime and Matt Ryan in his prime, Matt rarely threw real high testing his pass catchers’ vertical. He either threw to the outside shoulder or led them ahead. Look at his TD throw to Woods for the game winner throwing him open laterally.   You rarely saw Peyton throw jump balls too, he threw the same way throwing his WRs open towards the pylon, back corner of the end zone, helmet level or leading them once they gained a step. Yes, the occasional high back shoulder throw or helmet level throw is still not technically a 50/50 jump ball to me.   That ball Ryan threw to Julio that got them to FG range before they went backwards in the SB was high helmet level and away towards the sideline requiring a heck of a catch by Julio against excellent coverage using all his wingspan.   Thats why playing with the pass catchers long enough lets an accurate passer like him exploit their reach and wingspan laterally, with the Jelani Woods TD a touch short laterally but Woods secured it and pulled the ball away from the closing DB. I hope I’m clear.
    • Payton. Not a fan. Offensive genius yes but his teams crapped out in the play offs. Ben down that road before.
    • Take that back about his yards. I forgot he missed a game and he is still on track to be close to 1k.
    • I said the same thing. If we do change GM ect they are going to want to see him play first. Will he demand a new contract next offseason? Maybe ask for a trade. If Ballard is still here he will stay.  Makes me sad to think about. His yards aren’t great yet through four games either I don’t believe. Have to double check that.
    • My hot take prediction... goes to Philly. Nick uses correctly. Does well lol..
