I'm not wishing him well in retirement until I know it's official. This might be another Brady situation, so I'll wait and see if  he changes his mind.

He isn't coming back this time.   He is 33.  The only reason he would fake retire is if Brady went elsewhere.

Brady is coming back to the BUCS and Gronk is supposedly retiring... so your post makes no sense .

I know.   Why would he fake retire when he knows Brady is staying?

Speculation is Gronk will  un-retire either late in the regular season or just before the playoffs.    His season would be extra short but he’d be in the most important games.

33 is not old.  I think he was upset with the Bucs offer which I heard was low.  I doubt he is back but I could see him coming back later in the season for the playoffs. Brady has his ear.

If it was money, he could have signed someplace else for a lot more money. He has other business ideas outside of football, his body took a pounding. Congrats on his retirement..

He and Tom Brady won another Super Bowl together with the Buccaneers - I don't seem him unretiring this time.

 

He had health issues off-and-on last season.  It's truly "time" to retire.

Such a joke. If I was commissioner and someone formally retired, they could not come back into the NFL for at least 2 years. This would make retirement announcements actually be about retiring.
