I know a little background on the young man…..    he and his family really wanted Him to go to Stanford.   He had to bump test scores.   But he couldn’t quite get high enough marks. 
 

He was a very good high school player.  Could’ve gone most any place he wanted, but the place had to emphasize academics, and not just athletics. 
 

So the Stanford coaches strongly advised him to go to Northwestern, which is where he ended up.   Had a nice career with the Wildcats.  
 

Nice to see him now with the Colts!   Hope he makes the Final 53.

Ballard drafted him to play a hybrid role like the LEO. I won’t be surprised if he has a solid year in Bradley’s system.

Just another piece to compete on DL.  I think we will have a chance to be a top 15 pass rush.  A lot of talent on this line to rotate in and out.

That would be nice but it’s lofty expectations.  I think we were ranked in the mid 20s so even jumping 10-12 spots will be one heck of an improvement

If the pass rush can get home the other peaces are in place for this to be a really good defense, however a pass rush defense is like finding the QB on offense.  It’s a lot easier said than done.

The defensive coach has changed, and the Dline alignment will change. 

 

Obvioulsy it isn't "just another year", compound that with it really being his last chance U moment, if he doesn't shine this year he may be out of the league.

Top 10 sounds reasonable, Top 5 is tough with so much talent in this league.  But our players are all pretty damn good now so anything other than top 10 is very questionable unless we're always playing from behind (which again means our D is questionable and/or Ryan and Taylor are injured)

He is a smart guy. Those are my favorite players -- the ones that value academics and learning.
