I knew Glasgow would be cut, didn't think it would be this soon but Domann and Weatherford have been doing well (without pads) so far per reports.

Patton was brought back in for a workout earlier this week and participated in the rookie mini camp (as a tryout) so he must have impressed.....

Also, they cut two and only added one, there must be another addition coming soon behind this one? Veteran WR perhaps?

I thought Glasgow was good in ST

He was! But, when you bring in two hybrid LB/S guys like Domann and Weatherford that can actually play in the base defense AND Brandon King as a ST's demon at the same LB/S hybrid spot then ST's only guys become expendable! Besides, Coach Gus may like those guys better in his defensive scheme as they "COULD" fit into that Kam Chancellor role too.

Ive never been a fan of st'er who can't play base D when needed as Glasgow, Matthew Adams, George Odum much prefer the Dulin,Rodgers and Franklin types. We have King as mentioned above and Armani Watts who are st only,no guarantee either makes the final cut both are better then Glasgow on st.

Could come down to Weatherford vs Domann for a final spot (Didnt hear much on Skalski).

Dont think Patton will make the 53 maybe p.s though if he continues to up his game. Think we may bring in another CB with the Moore situation uncertain.

Agreed, but, some outstanding STers have made careers out of it. Depending on how quickly Cross emerges could spell the end for Watts and either or both of Domann and Weatherford could spell the end of King. The Colts have already released Malik Jefferson and Glasgow in favor of those two afterall!

Odum was able to play D. He actually did decent in several games. Not great or anything, but he was a key rotational guy for stretches. He's also likely to start for the 49ers this year assuming they don't sign someone else. Adams was good on STs and we never really needed him on D.

IMO, Domann, Weatherford, and Skalski all stand a pretty good chance.

In the end, you're always going to have LBs and DBs that are low on the depth chart that play STs. They'll contribute little on D, and make their money on returns and coverage.
