  • General -
    • Still no contact, no pads, etc.. They do wear helmets.
    • This is the first week they can do 11/11 "drills" (not just walk throughs). But they were limited to just 11/11 walkthroughs lol, so assume 11/11 drills tomorrow.....
    • So still not much to see OL or DL wise, or even rushing wise. Mostly passing and passing D stuff I'm guessing in 7/7 situations.
    • After this week, the vets are mostly done, and go on vacation. The rooks and guys fighting for a spot will stay in town and reconvene in two weeks.
    • Media was not a communicative as I thought they'd be. Haven't seen any vids either...
  • "Buzz items":
    • Kenny was there, participated, but really wasn't running with the 1s.
      • He was only on the field for the first 7/7 session. Frank said he left for precautionary reasons.....
      • Doubt he's there for OTAs in two weeks (mostly rooks and guys fighting for spots). If so, he'll have very little "install" time.
      • All things suggest he'll talk to the media tomorrow... get your popcorn...
    • Ngkaoue was there, participated, but did run with the 1s
    • Khari was not there, and it was revealed that it's a personal matter and he's officially been excused from participation. Hope he and his family are OK. Reich mentioned he's in frequent communication with him.
    • Leonard had back surgery this morning out West.
      • Already tweeting he feels great and will be back quick. Assume it's minor disc cleanup.
      • Also said his ankles are great which is great to hear.
  • Offense 1s:
    • QB-Matt Ryan - Another very sharp days
    • RB-Nyheim Hines - was a mostly passing day, so JT mostly sat out.
    • WR-Parris Campbell, WR-Michael Pittman, WR-Dezmon Patmon,
    • TE-Mo Alie-Cox,
    • OL - LT-Matt Pryor, LG-Quenton Nelson, C-Ryan Kelly, RG-Danny Pinter, RT-Braden Smith.
      • Nelson said he feels great
  • Defense 1s:
    • DL - DE-Kwity Paye, DT-Grover Stewart, DT-DeForest Buckner, DE-Yannick Ngakoue
      • Kwity said he like the flip to the left side
    • LB- E.J. Speed, LB-Bobby Okereke
      • Oke got a PDU/tip
    • CB-Isaiah Rodgers, CB-Brandon Facyson, CB-Anthony Chesley
      • Rodgers had another great day with a couple PBUs
    • S-Rodney McLeod, S-Nick Cross
  • Injury or didn't participate - RB-Jonathan Taylor (precautionary), LB-Darius Leonard, DL-Tyquan Lewis, DL - Curtis Brooks, OL-Dennis Kelly, WR-Mike Strachan, CB-Tony Brown, WR-Mike Strachan, RB-CJ Verdell, LB-Zaire Franklin, DB - Marvell Tell
  • Offense Other
    • WR
      • Pierce did not "start", but got the most reps with 1s he's got so far. Progress!!!!
      • Strachan with a minor injury
      • Foles nice connection to Coutee
  • Defense Other
    • LB
      • Franklin didn't participate. Domann got time and looked good per multiple reports.
    • S
      • Blackmon was running full speed in 7/7. That's great stuff!

I laughed so hard when I saw that this afternoon.

The NFLPA has pushed too much soft stuff IMO. They should at least allow some practices for rooks and UDFAs that are mid or full contact. Let the vets skip, but let the other folks fighting for spots get some true developmental time. Teams simply are too pressed for time when fall camp comes around to really try and develop and get a good look at the younger guys. It's really bad for the later round guys and UDFAs.
