Did any UDFA make the ball club last year? I feel like the streak was broken but my memory is foggy right now.

I'm going to go off the limb now and say Von Demark is making the team. Ditto Jojo Domann, and probably a 3rd. I expect this team will have some UDFAs in 22

I don’t remember  anyone making the initial 53 but Deon Jackson was either on the PS or active roster all season

I would have taken Matt Araiza and put him as the kicker. Dude can kick well.

Araiza went at Pick 180.    We had ONE pick before that, Pick 159.   We used that in the DT from Missouri St.

Ariaza wasn’t going to be taken there, and I love the kid.

Sure, but we could have easily traded up with minimal cost. But again who knows if they were even interested in that. Just something myself I would have liked to see happen

Borghi vs Verdell for the 3rd rb spot will be very interesting both good pac 12 backs. Max caught a ton in that Mike leach offense (College teammate of Patmon) so expect him to have a leg up.  Deon Jackson's spot in major jeopardy.

Van Demark should make at least P.S. but likely final spot on O line if Coleman ,Murray or Kemp doesn't shine.

Coan has an uphill battle to unseat james Morgan and that big arm or Sam and what he brings to the table.

WR room was already deep doubt Young cracks anything more than a P.S. spot.

We  have 1 Corner spot up for grabs and Flowers may make a serious run.

Linebackers look set maybe Domann make noise.

The promising thing about Doomann is his versatility

I'm happy to see we signed JoJo Domann from Nebraska,  He was a fifth or sixth rounder on most boards and I believe he and Van Demark both have legitimate shots to make the Colts final roster.  I don't know as much about our other UDFAs but this looks like it could be a promising class.

Deon Jackson is the number three right now.  Both will have to beat him out.

He is a DE

Scott patchan played several years at miami. Was a role player for the canes that was very injury prone. I believe he spent 6 or 7 years in college and is already 25 years old.

i don’t think he will make the 53.

LOVE this one. I mocked him to Indy several times, thought he'd be a 4th to 5th rounder, 6th at worst.

Love this.  Domann was one of the few bright spots for the Huskers and better than CTB that got drafted imo.  GBR

Am really like this draft and the quick UDFA picks.

I disagree 100% no one owns that 3 spot right now, Jackson had 16 snaps for 2.4 yards a carry last season...that wont cut it this season he needs to really step up to win that spot.

He owns as it was his job at the end of last season.  Can he lose if camp and the pre-season?  Sure that’s what those are for.  Still he has the spot right now and he’s going to be in the mix for it.  Just assuming two undrafted free agents make him a non factor and those two are battling for the job would be a mistake.  One of the two of them could end up taking his job but they will have to do it first.

Prior to the college season Borghi was highly touted as an all purpose back.  Should be a Hines clone and someone I was very high on as well.  Very good addition to our Club.

Jackson didn’t have that wow factor last year to me so no surprise they bring in competition.  Wouldn’t be surprised to see Jackson downgraded but he does have a year leg up on the competition.

Again disagree, just because he had a job essentially by default (Mack checked out mid season) and struggled mightily at it doesnt make it his to lose and multiple backs with better college pedigrees were brought in. Jackson wasnt very good in college and hasnt been very good up to now as a pro, to make the roster he has to show something he hasnt up until now. Is it possible yes, is it likely, not very.

And that’s my point.  I am not saying he can’t be surpassed just that he has the job at the moment and he’ll be a factor in who has it this year.

Welcome Domann to the Colts.

Kenny Moore is on notice am going to say it now.  JoJo Domann has the highest UDFA chance to become the next stater.  If Domann plays like he did for the Huskers he should transition well in the NFL and be a star like Moore.

Domann is a steal of the draft as an UDFA.  Domann wasn’t the only high rated player that went undrafted.

I didn’t say it was his to lose.  I am saying he will be factor in who gets it this year.  Two undrafted free agents doesn’t automatically demote him.  He’s going to be as much as part of the competition as the other two.  He does have a leg up in being in the NFL for a year and being in the Colts system for a year so odds are he’s going to go to camp as the number three to start with so the other two will have to surpass him.  Far from impossible, but they will have to do it.  I’ve been here many a year where people have sworn up and down an undrafted free agent was going to come in and take someone’s job and they didn’t.  Will that be the case this time?  We shall see.  I think it’s going to be a three way battle but Jackson has the leg up for now just because he’s been here a year and they have to order them somehow.  How long the leg up lasts?  Well that’s what camp and the pre-season is for.

Ive also been here many a year and know many have spotted the undrafted player who walks into an 'open' spot and makes it their own ( I would expect any back who makes any nfl roster to avg more then 2.4 ypc that Jackson did) I also wouldnt rule out a vet being brought in to compete and D'Vonte Price though lacking the college resume of Borghi and Verdell also signed so has an outside chance if things break right so could be a 4 or 5 man battle for 2 spots.

I don’t think any free agent RB is competing for RB3.   I don’t see why any 2022 FA RB should be thought to be ahead of last years FA RB,  Deon Jackson.   I think Jackson is RB3 until someone beats him out.   And I’d be surprised.
