After missing out on Sam Williams early in the round, the Ravens go with their next-best option and select:

Dominique Robinson, EDGE, Miami (OH)

Robinson is extremely raw at the position, having just a pair of seasons under his belt after transitioning from wide receiver. The Ravens have now double-dipped at the position after taking Drake Jackson in the second round, and will look to continue to develop Robinson as a high-ceiling prospect that could eventually start opposite his draft mate.

@SaturdayAllDay is OTC for the Saints!

With the 120th pick in the 2022 Gavin Mock Draft, The New Orleans Saints select:

James Mitchell, TE, Virginia Tech

Dropping down the board due to an early 2021 injury, the Saints find themselves able to snag a solid move TE that is also little coaching away from being a decent run blocker.

I wonder how Chiefs fans reacted to Tyreek Hill's departure?

Miami seems to sign star players from other teams a lot, like Suh.

@Jared Cisneros my favorite player in last year's draft was selected by the Broncos. (Surtain)

@Colt.45 you are OTC

Surtain is a solid shutdown CB. He's going to be special in the NFL. The Broncos still need to work on the position, but they have a no1, so it's not going to be terribly hard.

I hope you all will be following the draft here. I will be watching on TV and on two sites (Vikings and here). I always seem to take the day off after the first day of the draft. That is the case this year. It was not intentional. I have a trip on Friday. I may miss rounds 2 and 3. :(

With the 122nd pick in 2022 Gavin's mock draft,

Dallas Cowboys select

Romeo Doubs, WR, Nevada

@PRnum1 Chargers are on the clock.

Lots of WRs have been drafted.  Not too many RBs. Who is the Josh Jacobs of this draft?

With the 127th selection, the New England Patriots select:

Alec Lindstrom, OL, Boston College

Pats get a hometown boy, after senselessly trading away Shaw Mason for very little.  Thanks to the team that stole Braxton Jones a few picks ago.

The Raven's again select a player at a position they were targeting earlier in the round, this time flipping to the offensive line. With the 128th pick in the 2022 Gavin Mock Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select:

Luke Fortner, C, Kentucky

The First-Team All SEC selection will join a confusing interior offensive line group that Baltimore currently rolls out, potentially taking the starting center job from day one and not looking back. Known as a great team leader and high-intelligence guy, Fortner should help stabilize the middle of the front five on offense.

@VikingsFanInChennai is up for the Cowboys!

The run on lineman is real. Bugger.

Is this a good draft for OL?  Folks said the Garrett Bradbury was a can't-miss prospect. I have more patience with players but a lot of fans want to get rid of him. Elflein, former Buckeye, was good for a year and then declined. We long for the days of Matt Birk, Randall McDaniel, Todd Steussie, David Dixon,...

From all I've read and heard is that the depth in this class is very good. Not many blue chip prospects but capable starters deep into day 3.

Yeah, it's a solid O-Line class. Could be starters in the first 3 rounds honestly right away. All comes down to picking the right guys. they are out there this year.

    • This is spot on. Small market, and people want to think a St Elmo's steak, the combine and Manning's legacy is enough for people to want to just come to Indy to play. We don't have the night life, climate, roster or tax breaks to incentivize anyone to come here.  So the only way to do it is money.  We would automatically have to mark up every offer we want to make by 5-10% to have a chance at most of the top guys.  And the unfortunate reality of first tier free agents is that their value already gets marked up 20% to that players actual worth, so Ballard is probably out before the real negotiations are even taking place. We can afford to do that move for like ONE marquee player when the roster is ready....but not now, not on a good player who hit free agency because their former team didn't find them important enough to keep them.  We can never fall back on the fact that a we can lure a player here because of external factors.....because those will typically work against us. There was extensive discussion about this on page 48 of this thread.
    • Yeah, his athleticism is from another planet.     To bad he doesn't believe in it(anything outside of the Earth). That media availability at the combine, didn't help his draft stock.
    • If they stick to that logic:    Tyler Owens SAF Texas Tech 12’2”   The broad jump record of 12 feet and three inches belongs to former Connecticut cornerback Byron Jones, who set the mark in 2015. Jones went on to be a first-round pick and it’s likely in part due to the explosive athleticism he showcased in this very drill.    He almost tied the record for longest broad jump
    • This. Ballard has already traded a first round pick and got an additional 2nd. He had to trade out of the first round and the 2nd was the following year. I believe it was with Washington.  I’m with you. I highly doubt any team will give up their 1st and 2nd or 3rd for the 15th pick.
    • Yep Love at first sight is a real thing. Congratulations Anthony and Jada.
