The Ultimate 3rd Mock

Recommended Posts

1) QB Andrew Luck..i don't know, i heard he was pretty good

2) ILB Dont'a Hightower..if he get's past pitt i think he will be available

3) T Mitchell Schwartz...protecting luck will be more important than selecting a wr..and justice won't do

i will stop here because honestly after the 3rd it's a shot in the dark. now commence with the hate for not selecting a wr or db...

No way Hightower makes to pick 34, but if he does, that would be amazing. Schwartz is a good pick too.

Everybody is saying "dont let Luck be the next David Carr" but if we're not careful he could be the next Gabbert. I know he has Wayne, but with nobody else to throw to, Wayne will always be covered. And you should do the rest of the draft too, even if that's almost impossible to guess.

he presents the most value to 3-4 teams imo...and if he get past pitt, who needs oline help more than a LB, i think there is a good chance he slips to 34

I like those picks.... if I were to change one it might be an OG like Keleche Osemele or Brandon Washington (who also played OT at the "U") instead of Schwartz in the 3rd round.... but I agree with you on building the O-line.

For a WR.... I like T.Y. Hilton in the 4th or 5th round.

I believe we will see alot more balanced run pass attack this year. But for the diehard fans we be i see a good year this year, great year next year. Not going to take beyond next year with all our picks and Cap money to put the last pieces together. We could this year if if ? if we drop Freeney.

i selected schwartz thinking the new regime will move ijalana to guard. i don't have anything to back that up just a guess.

    • Really can’t afford Turray to flop bc of laziness. I hope he gets his act together and realize he could become the #1 guy on the line come contract time.  That could mean millions or could mean his job.  I’ve unfortunately have done this with multiple people with great potential in my company.  When up for their review, instead of getting a raise they are given their walking papers due to lack of performance and laziness. I found out quickly you can’t teach work ethic and professionalism.  Either they have it or they don’t.
    • Never mind, I read last years thread again. I’m good to go.
    • Thats the key to sustained success. Hopefully your team can keep choosing players that fit their system and adapt as times and players change.  I believe we do have that in place.  In a couple years it should be a well oiled machine and legitimate SB contenders.
    • Refresh my memory please...I know we did it like this year but I don’t recall all the specifics.   Wasn’t it stay the same spot or pick an open spot? I don't recall picking any spot you wanted. I thought we had a couple opening last year which is why we did it?
    • Yep, I think there’s a lot of talent in the WR corps, but I’m not sure who’s gonna really step up.  With the talent there, though, I’m sure that Reich will make the receiving corps into twice the unit that anyone in the media thinks it can be...
