@tweezy32you won't be laughing when we win the South, thanks for playing. My top 8 is pretty much on par with ESPN's so there you have it.The Simpsons GIF by KiwiGo (KGO)

thats because its ESPN.. not saying much. we lost to the titans last year twice. raiders beat us and got better. ravens beat us and can never beat them. colts are not top 10. they could be this year we will see but as of right now lol no.

I'm not sure I'd put us in the top 10 yet...

Good top 8 but we are better than the Chargers and I know you love the Bengals but the Bills are better , JMO. If Bengals and Chiefs played 10 times, I think Chiefs win 6 of 10 even without Hill. We agree with Rams #1. I think we are top 8 because I think we will win the South so that eliminates Tennessee as well.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. It's probably a tie for 2nd between the Bengals, Bills and Chiefs. I'm just basing this off of improvements to the team as a whole. The Bengals were players in the FA and got three new lineman and an upgrade at TE. I know Eli Apple gets a lot of flak but resigning him to a 1 year deal was a good move. The Bengals can now go into the draft getting the best pick available. That means they can get a guy or two who can contribute right away this season.

As for the Chargers, I just see them as a team that's right on the cusp of finally being a contender again. Herbert's the real deal man. And our luck against them is always in favor of the Chargers.

Regarding the Raiders, yeah they beat us but we had a QB that couldn't hit a bulls butt with a Bass Fiddle devil playing GIF- TY wide open for a TD and here is Wentz Pro Wrestling Fight GIF by ALL ELITE WRESTLING

Raiders are better than us. Kenny Moore was getting cooked that whole game

We are better than the Ravens, Lamar has average WR's and average RB's, mediocre O.Line. Bengals will win that division. We at least have great RB's and a decent O.Line. Matt Ryan is also a better passer than Lamar is.

The Ravens were 8-4 before Lamar got hurt. They’ll get Dobbins back and they still have Hollywood Brown and Mark Andrews. Mark Andrews is the 2nd best TE in the NFL. Plus the Ravens had like 17 players on IR last year. Marcus Williams is a great addition to that defense

No they aren't, if Wentz hits TY on an easy TD we are up 10 at that point. At no point in the season was the Raiders better than us. We were 7 point favorites going into that game.

They are now. Carr + Jacobs + Adams + Renfrow + Waller > Ryan + Taylor + Pitt + who? + MAC

They will need Harbaugh not throw games at end going for 2 points. Plus addition or two on offense and they can could be very formidable.

If I had a 2nd favorite team they probably would be..... Thinking about it I think they will be lol.

My mom grew up in Baltimore and that's where the Colts came from.... and actually should still be there.

wow raiders do look good. I am little confused in OP question he said elite 8 teams in league but then he mentioned if we win AFC south we are in top 8. That does not really make us top 8 that just means AFC south rocks lol so based on that I think all 4 teams in AFC west will be fighting and bruising each other so maybe he is asking top teams from each division oh man so confused

On paper as of today all 4 teams on the west are better than the colts...everyone except Pittsburgh are probably better in the central. Buffalo is better and the Titans get the edge....that's like 9 and the NFC has 3 super teams in GB, LA, and Tampa.... that's like 12...and questionable are Cards, SF(QB), Pats. ..,oops forgot Cowboys lol.

Chargers have to prove to me they are better, that is pretty even, Raiders aren't better either. Titans aren't better now that we got Ryan. Regarding the North, we are better than Browns and Steelers. Watson will probably get suspended for 4-6 games so that will screw them record wise. We had the Ravens beat last year and just gave the game away. I have us right at around 8, we will see if I am right or wrong come seasons end.

Ok.

I don't think we're ELITE 8 but think we might crack the SWEET 16

We have the same teams in the top 8, except I have Indy in there and not the Chargers. So basically we almost think a like. To me the Chargers have a lot to prove, their coach also is worse than Reich technically, he blew 2 or 3 games last year by going for 2 and getting away from the run.

Chiefs without Hill are not nearly as menacing to me, much like the Packers without Davante Adams, except Rodgers is a better QB than Mahomes in reading Ds. Bills with everyone coming back, with Von Miller added, are definitely a serious threat. Chargers, still have to learn to win the close games at the highest level, much like the Broncos. That is why No.8 spot is any of the other 3 AFC West teams outside the Chiefs. Ravens' QBs - Lamar is in his contract year, might surprise us, much like Flacco won the SB in his 5th year in 2012.

Bills are arguably the best team in the league, I have them 2nd.

You might be right. Bills vs Ravens could be AFCCG this year.

Lamar needs more weapons, like Ryan does for us. If the Ravens had a top notch WR then I would've had them in my top 8. Reason why I have us in there because we have Taylor and Hines to go with Ryan + our O.Line is still good. Lamar has Andrews but other than that not much. Ravens also have a bad O.Line. Bills could win the AFC if Allen keeps playing the way he has. How we beat them 42-15 is still mindboggling.

They need a better OC that schemes WRs open to give Lamar more throwing windows against man coverage, IMO. Lamar improved as a passer last year and the question will be, how much is he going to build upon it? My guess is, he will make the leap to throw his WRs open more often. Bills had a defensive meltdown to let KC back in it and with Hill not a threat anymore, it will be hard for Mahomes, IMO. Dolphins have the weapons and the OL now, we will see how well they can play to the talent on paper, on the field. Titans, if healthy, also can be in the Top 8 with both Henry and A J Brown healthy.

KC will still be dangerous but I don't see them getting back to the SB for a while. Mahomes is great but losing Hill is disastrous. I can see them losing in the Divisional Round possibly. Bengals will be good again, Bills very good too. I think we can get a high seed playing in the South which could give us a home game if we do indeed win the division.

If the Chiefs draft the WR from NDSU (Watson?) that’s a great replacement. 6’5” and 4.35 speed

I think the Chargers are trending up.   They have a very good QB who is getting even better.   Staley may have made mistakes to cost the team wins, but so has Reich.   I think they are a wash.

Staley gotta stop with the dumb moves (just like Frank).  Convert a couple of those losses to wins thanks to a couple field goals and you’re in the playoffs.  And there’s no reason to believe  that the Chargers couldn’t have made the same run that the Bengals did this year.

I think the Chargers are very good and will be a team teams won't wanna face, even more than the Colts.  The Colts may end up with a better record because I think the AFC west will beat each other up.  Broncos, Chargers, Raiders and Chiefs could be the best division in league history.

Chargers and Colts are pretty even but I have no reason to think they will be better, then again a Chargers fan could say the same thing. Herbert is good.

    • I think he still will, it's just a matter of time.
    • I think it's the sophomore class that I am really following this year and see how well these young men continue to grow.    DI: Mason Graham, Michigan (Sophomore) highest-graded true freshman IDL in the country in 2022 with an 80.3 grade.  2023 PFF TOW 2 honors   SS: Jaden Hicks, Washington State (Sophomore) – 2023 PFF TOW 2 honors   RB Quinshon Judkins (Ole Miss) Sophomore 2022 PFF TOW 9 honors had 14 broken tackles against Texas A&M, 5 breakaway runs of 15+ yards in company with likes of Derick Henry, Alvin Kamara and Chuba Hubbard.  Judkins came to Ole Miss as just a three-star recruit but, like Will Johnson at No. 21, dominated in Year 1.  He ranked in the top 10 in college football in rushing yards (1,567), rushing touchdowns (16), yards after contact (929) and forced missed tackles (76). Judkins also moved the chains on 91 of his attempts last year, placing fourth among FBS running backs.   WR Tetairoa McMillian (Arizona) Sophomore led all true freshman in 2022 with 702 receiving yards and 8 TDs.   RG Jonah Savaiinaea (Arizona) Sophomore ranked 2nd among all true freshman guards with a 76.0 pass-blocking grade.   LT Kelvin Banks Jr (Texas) Sophomore – managed to hold his own vs Will Anderson Jr entering 2023 NFL draft as the top player in the draft.  Banks dominated as a pass protector only allowing 3.5% pressure rate and 98.4 pass-block.  had a 80.8 PB and 89.3 RB grades in a zone-run scheme.  Week 7 allowed zero pressures and only 8 pressures all season (weeks 0-6). Has a 74.6 RB grade and an 88.0 PB grade week 7.  To-date has an 83.5 PB grade 5th best among Power 5 tackle.  2022 PFF TOW 4 offensive POW and earned TOW 6 and 7 honors   NT/IDL Deone Walker (Kentucky) Sophomore – in 2022 as a true freshman finished 3rd among SEC IDL with an 80.9 pass-rushing grade.  6’6” 330 LB at 19 yo beat O’Cyrus Torrence.   Edge Mykel Williams (Georgia) Sophomore 5th best returning edge defenders in college football.  Williams has a 75.9 run-defense grade ranked 4th among SEC edge defenders and led all FBS true freshman edge defenders.  His 6 sacks tied for the most among all true freshman in the country while his 33 pressures were tied for 2nd most.  Williams is a future first round pick.   WLB Abdul Carter (PSU) Sophomore freshman 56 tot, 6.5 sacks, 2 FF and 4 PDs   LCB Will Johnson (Michigan) Sophomore – as a true freshman led all corners in the Power 5 with a 91.1 grade in man coverage.  Johnson’s 2 INTs in man tied 5th same group in 2022.   IDL Dontay Corleone (Cincy) Sophomore – mid-way through 2022 he was 4th nationally with a 91.5 PFF grade making Ivan Pace Jr job on the field easier.  After 10 weeks Corleone has 41 TOT, 3 sacks, 1 FF, and 1 FR.  Freshman 93.9 DEF, 94.8 RDEF, 82.5 PRUSH, 61.8 COV.  led all FBS defenders with a 93.8 grade. His 94.7 run-defense grade was also the best mark by a front-seven defender since Micah Parsons in 2019 and recorded the 6th most run-stop (27) in 2022.  As a pass-rusher placed 8th among all defensive tackles in the country with a 15.6% pass-rush win rate.   MLB Harold Perkins Jr. (LSU) Sophomore - a 2022 top-10 recruit as an OLB, off-ball LB/SCB only allowed 4 yards in coverage in Week 11 (2022) vs Arkansas with 2 FF, had 7 pressures on 13 pass-rush reps 6 of which were a sack or hit on QB earning 93.8 grade.   CB Benjamin Morrison (ND) Sophomore – PFF Week 10 honors in 2022 – in Week 10 seen 13 targets in coverage allowing 3 first downs with an 2INT/1TD-Pick 6 vs Clemson earning a 90.5 coverage grade.  earned PFF Week 12 (2022) Defensive POW for second time in three weeks.  Picking off 3 passes and allowed 1 catch in shutout win over BC.  Saw 6 targets and gave up one for a 32-yard gain while earning a 91.9 PFF grade in press-man coverage.   RB Jaydn Ott – (Cal) Sophomore -As a freshman in 2022 after first 4 weeks owns the highest rushing grade in FBS 94.4 – 8.1 yards PA.  Ott finished off 2022 season with 897 rushing yards averaging 5.3 yards per carry and 8 rushing touchdowns.  He also caught 46 passes for 321 yards and added 3 more touchdowns as a receiver.  After first two games this season Ott already has 270 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns.   CB Malaki Starks (Georgia) Sophomore – Former top-10 recruit.  As a freshman 2022-2023 after 2-3 weeks PFF graded 87.8 DEF, 81.1 RDEF, 65.9 PRUSH, 87.3 COV.  Finished with a 72.1 run-defense grade and was 3rd among true freshman safeties in the Power 5.  Starks recorded 8 combined INTs and * tied for 5th among SEC safeties in 2022.
    • Coleman transferred from Michigan State.  Agree he has showed strong hands making several tough catches in traffic and has impressive speed for his size.  Not sure we need another WR-Z like Alec Pierce who is signed until 2025.    Some other players have been interested in are:   RG Justin Osborne, SMU – best in zone, gap or man schemes – PFF early honorable mention before the season for the ACC.  Earned 2023 PFF TOW 1 honors.   LG Wesley Ndago, Air Force – PFF TOW 1 and 4 – 2023.   TE Benjamin Yurosek, Stanford - Displayed athletic ability making several tough catches.    SS Tyler Nubin, Minnesota - Got two top traits, football IQ and impressive ball production.  Versus Nebraska he had 2 picks earning PFF TOW 1 honors in 2023.   Edge Kaimon Rucker, North Carolina Tar Heels – 2022 PFF TOW 0 honors.  Rucker became first Tar Heel in 10-years to be named the Walker Camp Defensive Player of the Week.  Versus South Carolina he had 5.5 TFLs and 2 sacks.    LCB Josh Newton (TCU) - solid QB passer ratings, 56.4 in 2022 and 86.2 in 2021  LCB D.J. James (Auburn) - solid QB passer ratings, 61.3 in 2022 and 64.9 in 2021
    • stafford has a very quick release, dont know if we can pressure him
    • I agree that AR is our guy, that's obviously why we drafted him, lol.  Minshew performed as well, and better than many of the starters I've seen, so far in the first 2 games this season.  I think if AR can stay healthy, we are set at the QB position for a long time, but after today's game, I am comfortable with Minshew coming in.
